Set it Straight / Allegiance / Final Fight tonight

Good show.

SiS covered Floorpunch.

Isn't Allegiance supposed to have two guitarists?
sis has covered floorpunch like the last three times I've seen them.

40 oz 2 freedom 11-07-2005 09:48 PM

Which song?

victimofreality 11-07-2005 09:52 PM

I don't know, because I don't know floorpunch well enough.

OI! to the World! 11-07-2005 10:04 PM

MLIW was great tonight.

obese_breasts 11-07-2005 10:11 PM

Am I the only person that hasn't seen them live?

Let's Chop Cats! 11-07-2005 10:12 PM

I was going to say I haven't, but then I remembered I saw them last week.
sis has covered floorpunch like the last three times I've seen them.
I've never seen them before last night. And it was "Let it Ride" boyeeee!

Let's Chop Cats! 11-07-2005 10:15 PM

Best FP song too.

victimofreality 11-07-2005 10:18 PM
Am I the only person that hasn't seen them live?
No, I a member of this awesome group until a couple weeks from now whenever they play.

40 oz 2 freedom 11-07-2005 10:21 PM

I would lose it to a Let It Ride cover. Totally lose it.

Can't have been a very memorable show then.... *hasn't seen them, but has a damn good excuse*

OI! to the World! 11-07-2005 11:40 PM

Tonight was my third time seeing em. Too bad it wasn't at the Tofu restaraunt like last time haha.

StruckEverywhere 11-07-2005 11:42 PM

Reflection by GIA is one of the best songs of all time, I hope they re-record it.

obese_breasts 11-07-2005 11:54 PM

A Wilhelm Scream is one of my favorite bands of all freakin' time.

StruckEverywhere 11-07-2005 11:56 PM

Cool beans griff.

obese_breasts 11-07-2005 11:58 PM

cooler than your NMDS beans.

StruckEverywhere 11-08-2005 12:00 AM

Well, according to current trade values at the moment:

1 NMDS bean = 1.25 AWS beans.

I win.

With the exception of their set, it sucked.

BuddyBigsby 11-08-2005 01:50 AM

Anyone that has experience booking shows

I'm new to this, and I'm putting together a little fest dealy. I was originally just going to have it be local bands and charge 5 bucks a pop (the owner of the building is going to let us use it for free, I'm only even charging to help towards expenses if anything gets damaged) but it looks like there's going to be a couple of touring bands now. What's a good amount to pay a small, touring hardcore band with no guarantee or anything?

AndreTheHyena 11-08-2005 02:50 AM

Murder By Death was rad. Hung out in their "dressing room" area, drank whiskey with 'em and tried to convince them that there was essential vitamins and nutrients in Pabst Blue Ribbon.

Plastic Constellations were pretty good, the Life and Times sucked. William Elliot Whitmore ruled. Go see the show if it comes to a 'nue near you.

BuddyBigsby 11-08-2005 02:51 AM

You should've convinced their cellist to get naked.

AndreTheHyena 11-08-2005 02:54 AM

Dude, I know. I know. It was actually her who I was trying to convince that PBR was a health drink. She giggled a few times, but I don't think I was really very impressive. I looked like a redneck.

Incidentally, more than one other person has told me that Sarah (cellist) looks like my special lady, so that's cool.

PS: I think every goofy hipster/scenester there was just waiting to hear the song MBD played on the Hellfest DVD, which was lame.

TakeWarning 11-08-2005 04:58 AM

Murder By Death rule the school.

If its a fairly small touring band they are gonna want their petrol money covered, some food and maybe some beer. Just split whatever you've made at the end of the night between the bands. If your still worried just ask them what they normally get per show and work from there.
