Thats why I end up listening to the exact same things over and over and over.
yeah, in my case The Beatles, The Who, Deep Purple, Jethro Tull, etc....

the newest song I have on my computer is from 1999......the song "Homeworld" by Yes (imagine that  )

Double Bass Jim 02-10-2006 01:43 AM

Exactly, most everything is crap.

I can't say that 100%, there are a VERY very select modern bands I really like, but overall... Not at all.

It's hard to find music where I can sit down and listen and be inspired, I wanna take something away from a listen, I wanna say DAMN I gotta rewind that part that was awesome. Something that gets the mind working a bit.

Blank 02-10-2006 01:55 AM

Yngwei Malsteem inspires me...

Corkofski 02-10-2006 01:56 AM

and for solos, listen to trivium

Excellent choice!

Gavin is a fantastic player, very smooth, very clean. His DVD and Books are excellent as well for any player looking to understand a bit more about how and what he plays.

Futuro 02-10-2006 02:14 AM

Anyone listen to St. Germain? It's like the soundtrack to a super trendy expensive clothing store. :thumb: Haha it's seriously good stuff though some of it. Incorporates a few different styles. Listen to Rose Rouge if you get a chance.

I reccomend The Bees to anyone. They are amazing. If you're in the US though they'll be called the band of bees.
