Rock on. I spent many overnighters in my practice lab!

Aaron 04-26-2006 06:34 PM

Late night is a great time for practice. Quiet = focus. Temperature = regulated.

Snarz 04-26-2006 07:06 PM
W00T. Just ordered my AA Medium Crash 17" in Brilliant finish from Mass Music. :) Can't wait for it to get here. Do you guys have any experience from ordering from Mass Music? How long it takes or anything?
Nice. I plan on buying my vault hats off of that website. That or make guitar center match the price so then i won't have to deal with shipping.

I ordered that exact same crash from them like 4 months ago. I received it pretty fast. The 19" crash I ordered took 2 weeks to get here but it was dropshipped from a different place so I guess it varies some.

Normally they are pretty fast though.

That is an excellent crash BTW. :thumb:

Half Life 04-26-2006 09:03 PM

Haha, I just looked back a few pages and Kelsey told me you guys missed me so I figured I'd pop back in :thumb: I've been real busy though but I try and check in every once in a while.

fishbulb 04-26-2006 09:08 PM

No one would ever miss you.

Fagbait.

Sweet :) Man the place looks awsome, Im gonna try and fly up to the next open house anyway. But so far it looks like a go.

Im excited :D

I have already been through a Auto tech school, but cars have been over run by my love of drumming.

Cocaberry 04-26-2006 10:08 PM

Crap. I wanna go for a drive but gas is rising 3 cents a day here. WTF. This is BS.

The average for my area is about $3.07 a gallon for regular.

rockindrummer 04-26-2006 10:37 PM

This price of gas is just crazy. Somtimes I'm glad I don't drive.

LoneStarDrummer 04-26-2006 10:38 PM

yeah, its getting bad. i believe we're about $2.92 around here.

still not as bad as some of the folks in the UK it's equivalent to about $6+ USD

and i only average 19 mpg. that's bad enough, i couldn't stand having to drive a truck right now. i've got friends getting an average of 13 mpg

rockindrummer 04-26-2006 10:51 PM

I know that in france it is like 3 euro which is like 5ish bucks canadian.

LoneStarDrummer 04-26-2006 11:02 PM

freaking euro is woopin' up on the good 'ol USD.

at least we've still got the peso beat.

anyone seen the new $10 bills? i think they're ugly as hell. there are so many little things about it i think are horrible looking.

Cocaberry 04-26-2006 11:06 PM

I had one but I spent it before I could examine it. Only thing I remember was it was more colorful.

Maggot Dream 04-26-2006 11:07 PM

Actually, the US dollar is worth more than the Euro right now. Not by a whole lot, but still.

Gas prices are terrible though. I'm glad my car gets about 30 mpg, otherwise I'd be screwed.

LoneStarDrummer 04-26-2006 11:09 PM

NO. the euro's approx. 1.30 to our dollar, meaning it's approx. worth 30 cents more.

Maggot Dream 04-26-2006 11:15 PM

Quoted from XE currency converter:

1 USD = 0.803033 EUR

This always confuses me, and I could very well be wrong, but whatever.

LoneStarDrummer 04-26-2006 11:20 PM

i used the same converter. it's actually about 20-24 cents not 30.

no big deal man, i had to convert the euro to dollar then dollar to the euro because you had me thinking i was wrong for a second and i was starting to get confused a bit.

Double Bass Jim 04-26-2006 11:21 PM

It doesnt matter anyway

With locations and inflation everything evens out

Maggot Dream 04-26-2006 11:24 PM
']i used the same converter. it's actually about 20-24 cents not 30.

Doing it both ways still makes the dollar worth more...?

But yeah, Jim's right, the only real difference between the two economies is that ours fails faster. That, and gas prices have always been ridiculously high in Europe, which is why public transportation is such a mainstay there. I really wish Americans knew how to use public transportation, and that it didn't suck in my city.

LoneStarDrummer 04-26-2006 11:28 PM

1 eur = 1.24 USD, meaning it takes a 24 extra cents to equal just one euro. in other words the euro is worth 24 more cents than the dollar.

Maggot Dream 04-26-2006 11:30 PM

Ok, gotcha now. I get confused about that alot, I don't know why.

LoneStarDrummer 04-26-2006 11:31 PM

it happens to the best of us from time to time

Double Bass Jim 04-26-2006 11:33 PM

Even someone like me

Futuro 04-26-2006 11:38 PM

Whatever happened to musicians who wrote with alot of different emotions in mind? Ya know? Tool is good for Modern Rock, but they are monotonous, Every song is dark.

*sigh*
/Puts on Genesis, Selling england by the pound.

Maggot Dream 04-26-2006 11:41 PM

Thus why I love The Who. Just listen to Quadrophenia, the change in emotions from the beginning to end is brilliant. I love that album.

However, right now, I'm going to listen to Passion, Grace, and Fire while I sleep. Night, MX.

LoneStarDrummer 04-26-2006 11:43 PM

i'm about to head to bed myself.

i like listening to rush's feedback album when i have trouble sleeping.

i love all those songs, the originals and rush's versions. i actually think rush has better versions of a majority of them

Double Bass Jim 04-26-2006 11:45 PM

Old genesis... What great music they put out

I've got the 4-cd live set from the late 60's to 70's and some of the most amazing stuff. They set the bar for prog thats for sure... And you wanna talk about progressive music? That stuff is really OUT there.

Futuro 04-26-2006 11:46 PM
However, right now, I'm going to listen to Passion, Grace, and Fire while I sleep. Night, MX.
Awsome album! Im gonna play to Sitchia for my MI audition cd. (Need mics :( )

Corkofski 04-27-2006 01:24 AM

you americand, STFU about fuel prices. you get about 3 dollars a gallon at the moment right?
