I might have to because after this community college I'm going to school in new york and I know housing is ridiculous

DiamondRope 08-18-2008 03:19 PM

Is this site mainly US based?

Probably like 60% US

Tyler 08-18-2008 03:24 PM

Lots of Aussies, too. We've got folk from all over though.

Poet 08-18-2008 03:29 PM

DiamondRope 08-18-2008 03:31 PM

Ah I see, I see. Any Irish folk?

Monticello 08-18-2008 03:34 PM

I'm half, if that counts.

Tyler 08-18-2008 03:36 PM

Dave aka Spat Out Plath is Irish but he mostly sticks to the review site.

apartments near campus are win

pate 08-18-2008 03:40 PM

Mine is 15 minutes from campus.

Deth 08-18-2008 03:51 PM

I'm about a mile and a half outside of campus, which works alright for me.

I was on campus last year and it made everything incredibly easy, but dorms can **** off.

pate 08-18-2008 03:52 PM

Two years in the dorms were two of the worst years of my life.

boredoms 08-18-2008 03:54 PM

mine is ~a mile, maybe less.

Daven 08-18-2008 04:49 PM

are dorms really bad?

boredoms 08-18-2008 04:50 PM

well you have no room or privacy, and a lot of campus won't allow you to have alcohol.

Kingofdudes 08-18-2008 04:56 PM

Solution: Apartment on campus

ugh 7:15 class :/

I can't really go to film school online.

Hopefully I'll graduate with a friend who is going to New York that I'll be able to get an apartment with.

AA-12 08-18-2008 05:11 PM

Yeah you can :p
are dorms really bad?
no i had a blast in mine
but now i have even more of a blast with my own house and all of my college friends over

adb 08-18-2008 05:31 PM

I still haven't made a "friend" in college (going to be a third year), nor have any desire to. Most people are douches.

Kingofdudes 08-18-2008 05:36 PM

:emo:

edit: ugh one of my roommates can barely speak english

masscows 08-18-2008 05:37 PM
I still haven't made a "friend" in college (going to be a third year), nor have any desire to. Most people are douches.
I probably won't either. I'll just stick with my current friends who are going to the same school as me (and alot of them are so yeah). I really don't have the patience for most people.

adb 08-18-2008 05:41 PM

For me, it pretty much boils down to going to a commuter college. I commute myself (easy 10 minute drive, no freeway, etc.) and do make acquantances every quarter, but never see them again since my schedule is usually weird. It's a combo of that and not drinking, so I don't share that commonality with pretty much everyone. I work at a burger joint on campus, and get along fine with everyone, but they do talk about drinking all the ****ing time and its annoying.

Kingofdudes 08-18-2008 05:42 PM

But drinking is fun!

masscows 08-18-2008 05:42 PM

for me it boils down to most people not being worth my time

pate 08-18-2008 05:44 PM

People are fags.
