Well, my friend Joe is hell-bent on his sophomoric vengeance plan. I figure tonight is when I can get that girl Veronica's number, though. Funny thing is, Joe (a very, very gay man) knew that she has the type of look I really go for (the dark, sensual beauty, enchantress if you will) and he was stunned that not only did I keep my composure, but was handling myself as well as I did in front of her, getting her laughing and all. I took that as compliment. :)

Ooooo, enchantress. Don't find many of those...

Hope it ends up well.

Lord Abortion 10-06-2005 06:26 PM

Good on you Alex!

The girl I like thinks I am unhinged, she heard me talking to myself and then she asked my friend about it, and she went "Oh, no, that's just Ollie..."
My grin is also going from dashing to manic now, when I smile at her as we pass in corridors.

and it seems that other girls are liking me too, work wise, the girl Who liked me "in that way" as she put it yesterday, whom I never asked out because of my inherent cowardice, and is now going out with a monkey in a suit admitted she had been interested.
That was an awkward conversation.

You going to the Trans Siberian Orchestra show in Jackson?

jpj 10-06-2005 07:17 PM

Trans-Siberian Orchestra is coming here too, but I'm afraid I may have to pass it up if I want to see Derek Trucks, Gov't Mule, and Phil Lesh & Friends.

Kingofdudes 10-06-2005 07:22 PM

They just built a Hard Rock Hotle in Biloxi before the hurricane. So many good bands were actually gonna come through, now im gonna have to wait a few years to go to some shows :-/

That really sucks, they built a Hard Rock in Pittsburgh last year, but so far no one good has come.

blueyxd 10-06-2005 07:34 PM

**** hurrucanes, any bands in particular you'll be missing?

2. Weezer - 1489 (I can handle that)
3. Nirvana - 1182 (Ok)
4. R.E.M. - 1146 (Ok)
5. The Flaming Lips - 1099 (Only know one song, it's alright)

Just got back from Macho Man volleyball practice. I hate activities that become dictated by dickheads. It turns into a "Who can spike better contest," which is pretty lame, considering that 80% of the time, the fags end up using the net like a hammock.

Dr. Jake Destructo 10-06-2005 09:39 PM

Hey, how did that 'rock club' thing ever work out? I know it's not called that, but you probably get the idea. :p Has it happened yet, or what?

@YOUR EDIT: I've not seen Iai in R&M, and since it's virtually the only place I've been able to go in the last few weeks, I haven't seen him anywhere else either.

Steerpike 10-06-2005 10:46 PM

Well, tonight wasn't quite as planned.

We pulled off our vengeance, and Katie was actually a really good sport about it. To show that there were no hard feelings now that the score was even, we all went out to the grocery store and bought junk food. We found out it was also her birthday, so we offered to let her make a couple purchase decisions on our cards as a gift.

Downside, Veronica wasn't able to make it as she had a project deadline breathing down her neck. So, I decided since I'm making dinner tomorrow, I'd invite the gang down to my house and have dinner with us. Japanese sticky chicken drumsticks. :D

So I figure I can continue flirting with Veronica then and get her contact info. Her roommate and their mutual friend (who assisted in above-described vengeance) offered to give me her number and e-mail, but I figured that would creep her out and I should ask for it myself face-to-face.

ATM 10-07-2005 12:53 AM

Are you really going to ask her for her "contact info"?

That sounds kind of...overly formal.

EDIT: Has anyone seen Iai around lately?
His last post was just yesterday, actually, though it was only "Hay guyz" in the Community Thread. Before that though, he'd been away for a couple of weeks. I sent him a purely professional, modly message (<_< >_>) asking about it.

Anyway, apparently while he was moving into Uni, his motherboard got all funked up. He's hopeful that he'll have it fixed by the weekend, I think.

Actually, the male of the Aussie species will bring the female he is courting a six pack of stubbies and a freshly slaughtered English Backpacker. If the female accepts, they form a life-long partnership, symbolised by branding each other with a special mark. Then they will retire to the outback to raise kangaroos as man and wife.

I don't suppose you could call English Backpackers marsupials though... I'd think of them as more a reptillian sort of creature.

I was referring to the kangaroos, but okay.

Also, where do the extremely lethal and/or venomous creatures come in? I'm still trying to find out if there's anything on your continent that can't kill people.

I can't really think of anything, actually. Ummm... even the coral can give you a nasty infection...

Maybe the skinks and butterflies? Though I don't recommend eating one.

Steerpike 10-07-2005 06:57 AM

The skinks can probably spit acid or something and the butterflies can use their proboscis to stab you in the eye and suck out your retinas.

And don't think for an instant I don't suspect koalas. Aside from the fact that they have to hiding something, I know you Australians also use them as a cover for drop bears.

Oh yeah, Koalas are frigging psychotic little buggers. They have this weird barking growl, they have razor sharp claws, and their nasty tempered little things also.

And yes, drop bears do exist. Scary things.
