Edit: Nevermind, I thought I needed help from Jom with calc homework but I just figured it out. I'm sure I'll have a lot more problems in a bit though.

So, uh..how's it going?
:-\

Sorry. I was at class/dinner.

And, I'll be fine.

Lunch 10-06-2005 04:31 PM

Yea but American beer sucks, and sex in a canoe doesn't. Your joke is flawed.
Sorry. I was at class/dinner.

No problem, I figured out my first question and got Vince to tell me the derivative of [ln(1/x)].

Are you planning on taking your maths further?

Lunch 10-06-2005 04:40 PM

Maybe, depending on how I do in Calculus. It probably wasn't going to be a career choice but I might do some more in-depth classes in college.

What do you think of Umphrey's McGee? They're playing at the 9:30 club around November 17th, me and a couple friends are thinking about going.

Ah, alright. Well, Vince is likely more trustworthy than I in terms of calculus-related things... not because I've forgotten, but because it's something he uses everyday.

I just write papers now :(

Apparently he had his TI-89 calculator handy, which made it easy for him to answer the question. I'm sure you could do the derivative of y=ln(1/x).

You would love it, man. We listen to so much good music.

Lunch: When is the show? I might be interested in going to that. They are one of the few jam bands that I like. I know Badmoon thinks they suck, but I have one of their bootlegs which is cool. They do an amazing cover of Shine On You Crazy Diamond.

Speaking of which, I may go see a Floyd cover band next month.

Edit: me stoopid (you said when the show was right in your post) :-/

It's been a long day. I had to do a 90,000 dollar order of microphones.
Like musically or personally, assuming you talked to them?
In both ways. I really dislike their music, and they act like stupid frat guys.

So anyways to sum it up, I've met Biz Markie, Ian Mackye, and O.A.R in the time that I've worked there.

I want to see the Aussie Pink Floyd, Umphrey's, and Gov't Mule. Those are the shows by D.C. over the next month or so.

I only have an Umphrey's live bootleg, but it is really good. I really dig their cover of SOYCD.

Leper Affinity 10-06-2005 05:05 PM

Me: No, Crazy Train begins with an F# and Sweet Child Of Mine begins with a D an octave higher.

Him: So just play it they're the same thing

She was like "Oh, so when you hit random, you get naked girls?"

And I quickly hit next again, and luckily a song came up.

It was a track with a Moog being used, and I quickly changed the subject by saying that the creator of the Moog just died.

:-/

Edit: And thanks Jom :) And regarding your question, yes you are the only one.

Edit2: Also, my name is Christian not Christopher

My girlfriend asked me to get her into some new bands, and I asked her what exactly she wanted.

She said inspiring songs that aren't too slow, so any suggestions?

So far I have:

Jeff Buckley - Eternal Life
Elbow - Forget Myself
The Arcade Fire - Neighborhood #1 (Tunnels)
