No, because those are the best bands in the world and there are no classic rock bands other than them. In fact, you might notice that for 1470 pages, we've posted nothing but lists of those bands.
LOL!

robo2448 07-01-2005 03:59 PM

So what Queen cd should I get? I've heard A Night At the Opera is their bes, but should I get that or a greatest hits?

BludgeonySteve 07-01-2005 04:02 PM

A Night At The Opera, Sheer Heart Attack, A Day At The Races and all of taht stuff

BludgeonySteve 07-01-2005 04:04 PM
What? Queen set new STANDARDS for glam rock.
No, just no. Glam rock is different. Freddy was a little glammy on account of the gay but they were not glam rock.

Daniel! 07-01-2005 04:13 PM
I've been wanting to get Tarkus, or an ELP album. Someone should post one of them.
I have Brain Salad Surgery available for upload if you want it.
I have Brain Salad Surgery available for upload if you want it.
That would be excellent, if you wouldn't mind.

Is m4a okay?

Glitterati 07-01-2005 04:16 PM

I only have Queen's greatest hits.

rock not roll, I guess we'll have to agree to disagree.

Thanks, I'll keep an eye out for it. And that ELP album would be great :thumb:

Works for me. I don't know about Lunch though. I just noticed that the drumming in Tales of Brave Ulysses is really good. Baker's always good though.

lunch998 07-01-2005 04:21 PM

Yea it works for me, you made me download itunes.

And yea, Baker is always good, he rarely misses.

Glitterati 07-01-2005 04:27 PM

I like your user title, lunch. I was listening to that the other day.

robo2448 07-01-2005 04:28 PM
I like your user title, lunch. I was listening to that the other day.
The bonus tracks like that one make The Who Sell Out so much stronger IMO.

lunch998 07-01-2005 04:32 PM

Yea, just the other day this subject came up in this thread. Those songs are mostly really strong cuts. I like Hall of the Mountain King.

robo2448 07-01-2005 04:34 PM
Yea, just the other day this subject came up in this thread. Those songs are mostly really strong cuts. I like Hall of the Mountain King.
That songs great. In fact, the whole CD is growing on me a lot.

lunch998 07-01-2005 04:35 PM

Because it's awesome, you later-Who whore.

robo2448 07-01-2005 04:37 PM
Because it's awesome, you later-Who whore.
Who arena rock pwns :p

Sell Out took me longer than the other Who albums to get into. I didn't like Tommy the first time I heard it, but have the 2nd time I realized how great it was. Every other Who cd I loved the first time I listened to, except Sell Out and Who Are You, which i still don't think is that great.

Glitterati 07-01-2005 04:38 PM

I'm still a early-to-mid era Who-whore.

Who's Next is a strong album, dammit.

lunch998 07-01-2005 04:39 PM
and Who Are You, which i still don't think is that great.
Don't worry, I'll never be the one to convince you that this is a great album. Who's Next certainly is strong, but I really enjoy early Who more.
I'm still a early-to-mid era Who-whore.

Yes it is. It's full of fanboy songs though, so it doesn't get the respect it deserves from real fans.

And Who Are You is too like '80s cheesiness mixed with like punk. Not a very good combination. The title track is awesome though.

I've only head the title track, and that rules, but I heard other than that, it's a weak album.

Pretty accurate. Too many synthesizers. It's not bad, just bad for the Who.

robo2448 07-01-2005 04:50 PM

Wow Bargain just came on the radio

This song is playing almost every single time I turn on the radio. They have almost ruined this song for me

StrangelyBrewed13 07-01-2005 05:01 PM
I saw them live, my friend was opening for them. They were fantastic.

I used to be all Classic Rock all the time, but now I'm getting into some new stuff. My heart still is with the classics though.
I dig WAR when they were doin stuff with Eric Burdon. "Spill the Wine" is a trippy track.

lunch998 07-01-2005 05:15 PM

I never listen to the radio, so Bargain remains unruined for me. It actually may be my favorite track on Who's Next.

RockISdead420 07-01-2005 05:17 PM

Anybody like a band called Mountain? I just found The Best of Mountain in my dads old cd stash. They seem like a pretty good band.

lunch998 07-01-2005 05:18 PM

I have Nantuckett Sleighride, it's a cool album.

Consider it on the way. How bout Odyssey and Oracle?

Canadian-Guy 07-01-2005 05:47 PM

I heard the nnew Bruce Springsteen song the other day.

Woodstock 07-01-2005 05:49 PM
Consider it on the way. How bout Odyssey and Oracle?
Wise choice. And for some odd reason, it's Odessey*.

EDIT: It will take awhile to rip, since I have a special 28 track edition.

lunch998 07-01-2005 05:53 PM

I see they're too psychedelic to spell correctly.

I'm trying to upload something for JPJ, and I'm not having any luck. And here you upload an album within 5 minutes. You're not helping! :upset:

EDIT: Thanks :)

lunch998 07-01-2005 06:07 PM

Haha, YSI goes fairly fast for me.

Canadian-Guy 07-01-2005 06:10 PM

I'm uploading a twenty-track Best Of Bowie CD right now, and it's taking about a zillion years.

Woodstock 07-01-2005 06:12 PM

I just started uploading The Zombies.

lunch998 07-01-2005 06:13 PM
I just started uploading The Zombies.
Do you want 2-3 more albums during this time period?

I just YSI my album list, because thats the easiest way to post it until I finally make a RYM account:
