I like the old metallica better than the new one..
|
You people under rate Rob Trujillo hes is great with Suicidal Tendencies and was the heart of Infectious Grooves.
|
I highly, highly doubt that it's going to be a mix of those three. And welcome to three weeks ago, with the anouncement that Ricky is producing it
yes thats why i said most of you would have heard this Double post was needed |

Well we'll see his work on the next album. If it's good then people won't underrate him. |
I've never heard any ST or IG but I certainly don't underate Rob, his live solos are amazing.
|
I Dislike him. Jason was far better.
|
I didn't like Jason at all. Just something about him I found boring.
|
I didn't like Jason at all. Just something about him I found boring.
I thought Jason rocked, I thought all of Metallica's bassists rock. Except Ron Mcgoveney that guy is a tool. |
I didn't like Jason at all. Just something about him I found boring.
I find he brings much less energy to the stage than Rob does. Err... brought, anyway. |
I've never heard any ST or IG but I certainly don't underate Rob, his live solos are amazing.
He was great in ST. You should check them out. Any more news about the new album? |
Don't think so, but Lars was talking a lot about Ozzfest the other day...
|
Don't think so, but Lars was talking a lot about Ozzfest the other day...
That would be cool if they went to Ozzfest. Im not into many of the bands on Ozzfest (with an exception to a few), but I would defientely put up with the crappy metalcore bands and annoying 12 year olds to see 'Tallica NP: Metallica - Whiplash |
So Metallica playing Download could be part of Ozzfest at Donnington again?
|
I think Metallica on Ozzfest woulds rule and maybe bring that Ozzfest crowd's behavior or whatever up a bit.
|
I think Metallica on Ozzfest woulds rule and maybe bring that Ozzfest crowd's behavior or whatever up a bit.
Its possible. More of the older metal fans would probably come out to Ozzfest to see them. |
Screw Ozzfest! everyone is so gay and disrespectfull.
I'll be pissed if Tallica does Ozzfest. They need tog et another good supporting band like Godsmack and do a world tour. |
Metallica doesn't really need a band to support them but if they had to have one I'ld say either Godsmack, Trivium or the reformed Alice in Chains
|

There's the actual article about Lars talking about Ozzfest. I agree that Ozzfest isn't great, but it might not be too bad if they did it with System... ... This story is actually from blabbermouth.net, but found on Ultimate Guitar. |
Metallica doesn't really need a band to support them but if they had to have one I'ld say either Godsmack, Trivium or the reformed Alice in Chains
I know they don't need one. But I saw one of the shows with Godsmack and there were freaking tons of Godsmack fans. I bet 1/4 of the people that were there were there to see them instead of Metallica. So that being said. No they don't need one but why not have one? It would be amazing to see Metallica again. and it would be even more amazing to see them with any of those bands that you metioned. |
Screw Ozzfest! everyone is so gay and disrespectfull.

Besides a couple catchy songs, they are quite boring. TBH. Trivium or Shadows Fall would be more fitting.
They are a great live band. I agree they get boring if you are just sitting there listening to the same albums over and over again and again...but when you see them live they put on one helluva show. The drum battle was insane. they were loud the fans were into it. Over all it was a reat show. |

I've never seen them live so I can't comment on their live show. I can say, each album is the same song... 12 times or w/e. |
I heard Godsmack is a great live band.
What really would be great would be Metallica on Gigantour, but I dont see that happening any time soon. |
oooh, i was told not to bring that subject to the air some time ago. you may piss off some people.

What the Dave and Metallica thing? |
What the Dave and Metallica thing?
My dream show would be Dave Mustaine doing a acoustic set and opening for Metallica. Yea people get pissed off about the Dave thing...it's not a big deal to me...but it is to other people. Godsmack are always the same. But that's okay with me cause I like it all. |

Metallica play the acoustic set...Fade To Black, Nothing Else Matters, The Unforgiven. Then Megadeth do a nice and heavy set. |

How are people at blabbermouth suprised that metallica, the biggest metal band, can headline ozzfest?
We talked about it last year, but it would be great if they toured with SoaD sometime. Maybe just them two and no other band. That'd be ace. |
I got to say that I'm dissapointed with how SoaD turned out. I was really into them on the Toxicity album and the Steal This Album one but now they kind of piss me off with there new record.
Yeah if Metallica did Ozzfest why wouldn't they headline? They'ld be the biggest act on there. |
Well, unless that shiz from last year with Iron Maiden didn't happen :p
|
Yeah if Metallica did Ozzfest why wouldn't they headline? They'ld be the biggest act on there.
I would've thought Ozzy/Black Sabbath would've headlined with Metallica on just before them. |
Ozzfest sucks so I wouldnt want metallica at Ozzfest .
They are better off doing Gigantour .. But thats not gonna happen :avatar: Is there still Gigantour BTW? |
No, Gigantour was for one year only...
:naughty: :smash: Sorry |
I didn't like Jason at all. Just something about him I found boring.
Whats your definiton of someone bringing energy and excitement to the stage then? Getting there d*ck out and tossing off on stage? Jason's is probably one of the best metal bass players in the world in terms of stage presence and Iam sure alot of people could agree with me. Oh and also yeah you are entitled to your own opinion I just find it hard to believe you think he's boring. |
^Yeah Jason's really kickass on stage, looks cool headbanging with short hair as well
|
No, Gigantour was for one year only...
:naughty: :smash: Sorry
I'm pretty sure I read that they plan to do it again... |
They do unless Dave changed his mind in the last week.
|

I think ozzy retired. He has said many times he will, I think it's time to do so. |
