Seriously though Trev,

When you get huge, the British leg of your world tour will need a support act

Dude, that would be like reaching for the holy grail  . If we play that show, good god, I'd cream my pants. On stage. I already said that, but it bears repeating.

Indeed it would!

Speaking of support bands, I've put my band, Brutal Viking Skullfuck, on hold. My friends and I are going to form a hardcore punk/crossover band, and destroy the emo/gay-hardcore scene around here.

If you get the chance, could you check if Cam Pipes actually has any testicles?

Free shot guys!

Shred Danson 10-05-2005 05:03 PM

OK, here's how it would go down, playing with Exodus:

Before the show:

I catch Gary Holt while unloading equipment, thus engaging in conversation.

Me: Hey, Gary Holt! I love you, man. I love Exodus.
Gary Holt: *Blank stare
Me: So uh, are you gonna be playing Toxic Waltz tonight? That'd be badass!
Gary Holt: *Blank stare
Me: Bonded by Blood was a gift from god!
Gary Holt: *Blank stare
Me: Well, uh, talk to ya later, check us out! We're...uh...playing...first
Gary Holt: *Blank stare, hawks lougi, spits it on our drummer for no apparent reason.

Later, I see Cam Pipes in the bathroom and quickly take a picture of his testicles for Bartender's viewing pleasure.

We don't get paid.

Lord Abortion 10-05-2005 05:05 PM

I had the image of Cam pipes having a piss, then the "ahhh" sigh he releases from bladder release being incredibly high pitched.

As flattered as I am to be the King of Sarcasm and Really Lame Jokes, and as much as I dug ICB's poster campaign, I'm going to have to decline any and all nominations.

I just have a better idea of who to courtesy rep more now :-*

Steerpike 10-05-2005 06:53 PM

It's been an interesting week thus far.

First I'm officially registered for January's Filmmaking Practicum class. I'm the screenwriter and also supporting cast and second editor.

Second, I just started up my modern dance class. Thought it might be whimsical. I somehow doubt I can do exceptionally well in it, but it will help me get in shape. And in a class of almost twenty, I'm one of only three guys. Bonus.

Third, I got my budget for this year's college Halloween special approved. Friday, I'm going down to the Spirit store to get supplies.

Finally, in a strange twist of fate that started with a few of my friends at the TV station plotting revenge on one of our cohorts who in her manic antics overstepped her bounds, I met said psychopath's roommate. Thinking she was really cute, I started flirting with her right from the start. And she seemed to really enjoy it! :D

I plan on getting her contact info tomorrow. I'll have two ideas in mind. One, I ask her if she wants to be in the Halloween special (we still need some people in costumes) and if she is, she can go down to Spirit with me to get her costume and help me get all the props.

If not, I'll just casually mention to her that I was planning on going down to the Pour House coffee shop this weekend for one of their strawberry-chocolate freezes. If she doesn't mind a little walk, she's welcome to join me as I'd enjoy the chance to have someone new to talk to.

Either way, it doesn't put any pressure on her and it gives me a chance to see just how much substance she's got behind that pretty face.

I think being spontaneous is a good way to go with a girl...sit back and see where life takes you.

After you do the icebreaker, though, which you seem to have covered.

Good luck either way. :thumb:

Steerpike 10-05-2005 07:26 PM

Think about it. If she goes with me to Spirit, we'll be in a place that sells Halloween costumes, and since Halloween is my favorite holiday, I'm in my element. The flood gates will be opened, and there's no stopping it from there.

Shattered_Future 10-05-2005 07:33 PM

That could be interpreted in 2 ways though...

1. Awesome, if she's into all that stuff
2. Absolutely creepy, if she's anything like the girls around here (jewish american princesses)

Lunch 10-05-2005 08:23 PM

I'm not sure I would let the flood gates open, it might be better just to ease it on her.

Jom 10-05-2005 08:30 PM

I just pulled a 91 on my psych exam.

Now, most of you will think, "Pffffft." But the prof seriously scared everyone. He said that the average was a C+, and said it was pretty stable across the class, with very few students going away from the average.

Either he seriously curved this sucker, or knew what I was doing for every single question except five : |

In other news, I 3.3'd my first term paper for my Honors class. I practically exploded because my profs last year were so difficult, but, hey, I get to brag.

And, the Red Wings just beat the crap out of St. Louis, so good times.

Back to studying for another exam for tomorrow, though, heh.

I trust everyone's weeks are going okies.

Arrakakaka 10-05-2005 08:39 PM

I just realized that I've been listening to more chilled out music lately..

The Red Wings won? Finally something good to hear about Detroit.

I live in the suburbs of Troy, Michigan though..

Jom 10-05-2005 08:42 PM

Really? magicbus and I went to Athens.

EDIT: who the hell mysteriously repped me ITT earlier today? First, let me say thank you for your kind words.

Next, why did you not sign? :'(

What middle school did you go to?

I live closer to Troy High, actually.

Haha, I go to Smith.

I want to go down to the new community center and reak havoc. For some reason, I feel like it.

Jom 10-05-2005 08:55 PM

See you, SOP.

A quick question, please:

Is there a place online where I can watch the Rejected animations (a la Burt's + Travis' avatars)? I went to the main site, but to no avail :(

I've been keeping it a secret for a while now but me and my girlfriend got engaged. I figured it wouldn't get out anywhere else but here anyway. Hell, most of you don't even know my real name. Still, out of all the people I know, I've only told my best friend.

Ya ya. 16 is probably too early but I was just like screw it and went for it anyway.
