I haven't skated since I was a sophomore. I used to be able to ollie 4 boards stacked on their sides.

I was more of a smooth street style skater than a vert skater. I sucked on the half pipe, quarter pipe, fun box, etc., but if there was a street style course, I could stick a few landings.

I think the highlight of my skating career (or lack thereof) was heel flipping down 6 steps. Nothing fantastic but still pretty good when you're only 15.

yeah that is really good, i never was that good but i coudl do some decnet stuff. my best thing was a kickflip off a big bench.

i was useless today it's like starting again. i landed a kickflip and a heelflip LOL

fghtffyrdmns 07-24-2006 12:05 PM

The highlight of my skating "career" was a few boardslides down some rails and a few 50-50's on some boxes. I never could get those flip tricks down.

Bad Blood 07-24-2006 12:06 PM

shush dan

how do you know

:O where did you go skating?

BridgeToSolace 07-24-2006 12:09 PM

This is halarious.

bottlerocket 07-24-2006 12:10 PM

Yeah, I used to be able to get a few grinds. I could boardslide, 50-50, noseslide, tailslide, and I got a crooked grind ONCE but the landing was ugly (I had to use my hands to support myself). Still, I count it. :D

I got into a nasty accident once. I was going for a ledge to noseslide in a park when my friend went off a quarter pipe; he fell and his board shot out about 50 feet in the air (or so I'm told) and it landed nose/tail (whichever end it was :p) straight into my skull.

The next thing I know, I woke up in a pool of my own blood and I had blood all over my face/hands/arms/shirt/hair. I guess the board dug into my skull like a quarter inch then slowly fell out and took a small chunk of my skull out. There's a tiny hole in my head now because of that. :(

I got rushed to the hospital and the doctors gave me a lecture about why skateboarding is a terrible terrible crime.

DJ Ducksauce 07-24-2006 12:13 PM

Geez Gav, trouble seems to find you a lot.

fghtffyrdmns 07-24-2006 12:14 PM

Yeah, and somewhat gross. I'm glad I quit skating.

It was doing quite a job on my knees, too.

Bad Blood 07-24-2006 12:15 PM

BridgeToSolace 07-24-2006 12:17 PM

Over the summer I'll probably be sitting on my *** doing nothing most days.

In fact that's what I'm doing right now...during summer...

DJ Ducksauce 07-24-2006 12:17 PM

I miss not having a job...and you people always rub it in. :(

Yeah, my life usually has all sorts of random bad crap that happens to me. I have a black rain cloud over my head at all times (I wish I really did because I love rain).

-Gav
I wish I had one. I need a source of income. :(

Then you'd get struck by lightning somehow with your luck.

bottlerocket 07-24-2006 12:26 PM

Seriously, you all know I have the worst luck in the entire world. Nothing ever goes my way...no wonder I listen to emo. :p

Lightning striking me hasn't been ruled out as a possible cause of death...

No, it's because I'm too lazy to call my drummer and guitarist and ask if we can get together.

And because I hate life.

OOH AND BECAUSE EVERYDAY ITALIAN IS ON! Everyone turn on foodnetwork.

Bad Blood 07-24-2006 12:31 PM

I was just about to say that all emo people love the rain.

I'm probably just as sad as Jon.

BridgeToSolace 07-24-2006 12:38 PM

Speaking of sad I spent two hours watching anime yesterday.

The one-hour-special final episode of Soukyuu no Fafner: Dead Aggressor and the hour OVA Soukyuu no Fafner: Right of Left.

Exceptional serires. A shame it's over.

I'm gunna start Last Exile next.

DJ Ducksauce 07-24-2006 12:40 PM

I haven't watched Anime in a good while. Last series I was watching before I stopped was Tenchi. Pretty good.
Snow > Rain

Not when you live in Buffalo. :-\

I love the rain. When I went to see Ronnie Day, I sat in the rain and listened to the opening bands.

bottlerocket 07-24-2006 01:18 PM

I love snow, too, but I like rain more.

Fall is my favorite time of year.
