Dead and Breakfast is good. It's like a lesser known Shaun of the Dead, only slightly a musical.

Little Man being Erased 07-17-2006 12:36 AM

Musicals tend to rub me the wrong way most of the time.

But I might check that out anyway.

Have you guys seen the trailer for the new Jack Black film, it's directed by the same guy who did Napolean Dynamite. It looks pretty funny, if you can stomach Jack Black that is...

For the record, I enjoyed the second Pirates of the Caribbean. It didn't have the charm of the first one (because it wasn't a complete movie) but Johnny Depp made it entertaining once again. I love watching him run in that film.

Zmev 07-17-2006 01:54 AM

you mean nacho libre? thats ages old. I saw it and liked it.

Kyle 07-17-2006 01:56 AM

Oh, it's already out? I guess I need to go see that then. I think Jack Black's funnier than he gets credit for sometimes.

br3ad_man 07-17-2006 02:27 AM

I watched a decent Korean horror film the other day, A Tale of Two Sisters.

I saw Kisschasy last night. I went with about 10 other people, so it was really fun. The only gay thing was it was full of 14 year old girls and it was too freaking loud. It was the loudest show I've ever been to, I still don't really have my hearing back.

Kyle 07-17-2006 02:36 AM

I have the DVD of A Tale of Two Sisters sitting in my room, I meant to watch it but couldn't really be bothered. Is it worth it?

It often takes me 2-3 days to get my hearing back after shows, I really need to get some ear plugs. Dinosaur Jr were one of the loudest I've seen.

Neoteric 07-17-2006 03:32 AM

So... is the new Superman movie any good? Might go see it today.

I'd say so.

I always lose the damn things. I'm going to have to get some more for Splendour.

To Kyle:

Nacho Libre is funny, go see it.

Anyway, I am excited for Snakes on a Plane AND I like Will Ferrell :-D

Zmev 07-17-2006 09:26 AM

Tale of Two Sisters is a cool movie.

:\
Not very, I don't think. A couple people mentioned them in the favorites of '06 thread I think.

Little Man being Erased 07-17-2006 01:58 PM

Hahah, yeah that was hilarious.

HEY MOM! CAN WE GET SOME MEATLOAF?

I Was A Kaleidoscope 07-17-2006 04:51 PM

Will Ferrell in Wedding Crashers was one of those things that made that movie worth watching, along with the gay guy and the grandma with the shotgun

Little Man being Erased 07-17-2006 06:01 PM

I always enjoy those movies. Especially ones with either/both of the Wilson brothers in them.

Happymeal 07-17-2006 07:06 PM

Speaking of movies, I watched Pirates 2 the other day and Taxi Driver for the first time last night. ye ye

Little Man being Erased 07-17-2006 07:08 PM

Taxi Driver is pretty rad.

Matt? 07-17-2006 07:10 PM

rad mohawk

Glitterati 07-17-2006 07:16 PM

I've considered a Travis Bickle Halloween costume before, but I'm not so keen on the mohawk. Taxi Driver rules.

Robert Crumb 07-17-2006 07:24 PM

I'd get a Bicklehawk, that is, if my head weren't lopsided.

dei 07-17-2006 07:39 PM
