Boston is nothing like The Nanny's accent; she has the Jewish Queens/Long Island Accent. Brooklyn accent is also distinct, especially the Italian one.

The Queens/LI accent blows though.

Yeah, that guy (understandably) didn't know too much about American varieties since he's not from the US. I admit I don't know an awful lot of American accents either. The Texas accent (if we can properly speak of one Texas accent) is appalling, though. So is the New Jersey accent.
