My fretless neck is painted lime green...and black...and natural finish..., and my Jazz's body is like an agave blue. Trust me. It looks like someone puked on it.

Well, the neck is technically off of a Squier, but I'm not seeing a problem with it.

Does it matter what colour the bodies are if you're only changing the neck...?

For the most part, yes, I treat it as a 5. But when I randomly need a high note or three, or am tapping and need a high note, or an playing chords, its handy to have the means to do what I want right there.

Mostly chords.

The neck is painted because I painted it. Before I started modding the body, I thought it sounded hella sweet. I liked the tone better than without paint.
