Do you guys like Deadbird?
What are they like?
Really heavy sludge, if you like Neurosis Times Of Grace and Through Silver In Blood you'll love them.
Ok guys, I need some music that has ridiculous amounts of distortion and blues influence. Whoever recommends me bands recieves a cookie!

Sweet.
Li, you fail since I've heard of all those bands. No cookie for you! EDIT: Goddammit guys I can't find any of this stuff...:upset: |
You can't find any Blue Cheer wtf you suck at finding music.
I didn't look for Blue Cheer cuntbag. :D
Then why ask for suggestions?
Halfway to Gone?
/tentative |
Blue Cheer is the definition of blues with ridiculous amounts of distortion.
Blue Cheer were really good.
Halfway to Gone FTW \m/ Andddd Across Tundras were kicking my *** like at 5am, great music. |
Across Tundras is the ****. They pull off the old western style superbly.
Yeah, they are really good. Do you guys like Coffins?

Halfway to Gone FTW \m/
Their instrumentals are so good. "Thee Song (A Slight Return)" just can't fail for me. |

I didn't get around to checking them out. I now have Vincebus Eruptum downloading. |
Blue Cheer is excellent.
Have you guys heard the Sons of Otis split with Queen Elephantine?
Queen Elephantine's side is ****ing awesome, and I got an advance on QE's new EP that is absolutely amazing. |
Fistula's Hymns Of Slumber rocked my world last night. And good ol Om did as well.
Sons of Otis are good, haven't heard Queen Elephantine though.
Fistula are classic, great band. |
Fallen is ruling my world atm.
I love the deep male vocals, too bad they now have a chick as lead singer. Still; A Tragedy's Bitter End is beautiful. |
I know you all hate them, but...
I got an awesome The Sword shirt today. |
I don't hate them, just never got around to checking them because of all the negative feedback they get on here.
Still, new bandshirts are always cool. |
I love them really. Straightforward Sabbath style doom, but it's a good listen.
The Sword kicks ***. The second half of the album is like thirty steps down from the first though.
Age of Winters is one of the worst attempts at stoner doom ive ever heard. It is completely boring and unoriginal all the way through.
It's not supposed to be original. And it's not supposed to be stoner either, it's a straight up, unoriginal, no thought involved doom album.
I surely hope nippleheim isn't talking about something he doesn't know anything about. |
Well, it is trash, whatever it is supposed to be.
Its an ok album, not something I ever really listen to though. =/
It's good for what it is. It's fun to listen to. No everything has to be profound and innovative, some stuff you just listen to because it sounds cool.
Ok, I know that. It doesn't sound cool at all. It is just plain boring. Witch is a perfect example of a fun, catchy stoner band.
They didn't become a stoner metal band in the 5 minutes since I told you before that they weren't.
Well, they are in no way traditional doom, so it is safe to say they are closer to the stoner doom side of things.
They're much closer to traditional than they are stoner. They have much more in common with Sabbath and Witchfinder than Sleep and Om.
The Sword album is ok. End of the story.
