avey tare and kria brekkan - pullhair rubeye

rad album but after a few listens you realize there are only four or so really good tracks everything else feels like filler
|
opis helpus and lay lay off faselam calm my soul. shit's good forward and backwards and even the lesser tracks "add to the mood" or whatever. it's what i look for in sung tongs with songs like "the softest voice" and "visiting friends", but, you know, album length and all. i'm sure i'll get over it in a month as always happens with my AC obsession cycles but right now it's the best thing ever. there are some really ace live videos (just youtube "avey kria" or what have you) that add to it.
|
the original version (meaning before it was reversed) of lay lay off is one of my favorite animal collective-related song, that guitar part is so beautiful

awesome, check out thee oh sees' help if you dig this |
agreed with lay lay off faselam. that song is the crowning achievement of the album tbh. the part where it goes 'we had a qui-ET thing' or w/e and the reverb goes way up is flawless.
|
i'm digging some acoustic music overall actually. listening to a lot of nick drake and shit. who wants to recommend me shit (bonus points for guitar + piano)
|
get the album 'easy not easy' by graves
not exactly what you described, but a great easy listening sort of album that's gone virtually unrecognized by music fans. telling you shit is cash money. 'shallow grave' by the tallest man on earth obvs if you want good folk/acoustic for more of a avey and kria vibe, try out 'i killed my best friend' by le volume courbe. french chick with a messy attitude towards music. brilliant and senseless. fairly confident you'd enjoy it. |
thank you lovely person
shallow grave is really fucking good yeah |

holy shit that was incredible |
Saw caribou and four yet live last night. Pretty cool, four tet was great to see live. And caribou are awesome, I love when dan would start playing drums as well. So much strobe all night though. Bowls was probably the best live song. Just sucked that they'd sold out of the vibration ensemble records the night before in Melbourne :(
