http://www.music123.com/Epiphone-Goth-Les-Paul-Studio-7-Exclusive-i353108.music I can't make freds yet, which would be best for a fixer upper? I've always wanted to try a 7, and I want really fat, yet clear tone, out of whatever I buy. |
If your going to get a 7, make it at the very least a 25.5" scale
|
I'd say the LP, because Epi explorers feel wierd, only because I don't like the necks.
If your going to get a 7, make it at the very least a 25.5" scale
I actually am more partial to the shorter Gibson scale with 6 stringers. What's wrong with short scale 7s? I'll be using fairly hefty strings, so it won't be flabby or anything. |
A B string on a 24.75" scale makes me a bit queesy. A 25.5" 7 feels a bit loose to me really. On factory strings tho.
Completely forget about going to A or lower on that guitar. |
7>6
I'd go for the Goth |
If your going to get a 7, make it at the very least a 25.5" scale
My 24.75 Dinky was lethal tuned to B. Just gotta use the right strings. |
Yeah, I tune my 25.5 to B at times for fun. Its a bit floppy on 10s but its playable.
I just wouldn't reccomend something that comes stock with a B string at such a scale length is all. |
I'd use a custom string set anyways most likely.
Flatwounds at that most likely, no troubles. Thomastik Infeld anyone? |
Anyway, buy a better guitar.
|
eeew liquid vicoden is so bitter
But yeah try and find a longer scale 7 if you can It's better or something |
I like Gibson scale though...
|
Well if you like it don't let us stop you
|
Yeah, it would 'work'.
What do you like about the 24.75" so much? (curious, not trying to be an ***) |
I just like the way it plays, I have smaller hands.
|
do you guys think that the agile tele has the same size hardware as fender?
do you guys think that the agile tele has the same size hardware as fender?
I'd doubt it would match exactly in all fairness. |
yeah, thats what I was thinking
just was checking yeah, so in my dream you were wearing a burberry cap, had brown hair, and you were wearing a black t-shirt and jeans |
Sounds about right minus the cap, although I do want one.
Really want this... http://i4.tinypic.com/15hn5hk.jpg |
that's nice for a firebird
|
How are Godins?
If I bought a Godin and Traynor I could have an all Canadian made rig. All my pedals are Radial and old-style SD. Go canucks. |
they're good bang for the buck
that lucky charms fellow seems to have lost enthusiasm ovr the years |
Compared to what other companies produce for the same retail price they are excellent.

Anyone got pics of the heel, or the other finishes? How's maple in sound character? EMGs anyone? I mean, Kirk has his in maple, I think Hetfield does too. I'm partial to Hetfield and Mustaines tone, dunno if that's maple. |
I'm listening to Mayhem. :thumb:
Anyone know if Ibanez GAX types are any good for the coin? |
Cool.
