Man I wish I was there for Here's To Life, why did I leave? Personally, I think they did A moment of silence very poorly. Oh and I saw when Mike Brown pointed at you, I think I was 2 rows behind you. Some spatula punk kept on pushing me, I yelled at him.
That was me =D!

SkaRobotArmy 08-28-2007 08:22 PM

ZaaR 08-28-2007 08:50 PM

i saw streetlight 2 nights ago. it was a really awesome show. definately the best i've seen in a while. i was angry that they didn't bother to play the saddest song.

I didnt record the video, it was posted in the group im in. You can see where Matt (bari sax) points at me at about 1:35-1:45 ish.

Im planning on buying his old guitar, (Ibanez AS83) and seeing if I can make it sound as sick as he gets his to.

SkaRobotArmy 08-28-2007 09:31 PM

i wish, but i bought an SG a few months back so i'm done with guitars for a while...
yea, i really really like saddest song but oh well. can't win 'em all.

what happens when you 'add an application' to your facebook, i just got mine sunday and am unfamiliar with it.

Jessizzle 08-29-2007 07:16 AM

thoes are the best videos iv seen yet, and you can see how packed the opera house was, and you can see how much everyone sucked at crowd surfing.

Aficionado 08-29-2007 09:14 AM
everyone sucked at crowd surfing
This is truth.

You get to that screen where there are 6 or so check boxes. Since it is video application you probably only want the first box checked (access my personal information). That basically means you can watch videos on facebook but your actual profile page wont change or give any clues that you have the application. Other applications are designed to be put on your profile page so for those ones you will want to check some of the other boxes.

Crowd surfing is for suckers anyways.

Catchthe22 08-29-2007 11:52 AM

I got kicked in the face at the RBF/LTJ/SM/AAA show I went to by a crowd surfer and got my 2nd bloody nose for the night. I couldnt get the blood stain completely out of my shirt that I got from Amsterdam :(

Henrik 08-29-2007 11:57 AM

Crowd Surfing can be very fun, but you know people have to know how to do it, when to do it and how often they should do it.
Too much crowd surfing at ska shows mostly sucks.

Aficionado 08-29-2007 12:04 PM

Too much moshing at a ska show sucks, thats what pissed me off about the show. Your not supposed to mosh. You're supposed to skank.

Cliche 08-29-2007 02:07 PM

I've been kicked in the face from surfers way too many times.

Henrik 08-29-2007 03:22 PM

This is very correct.
The moshing often starts at parts of some 3rd wave songs where they play powerchords instead of upbeats.

Jessizzle 08-29-2007 03:41 PM

i got punched in the face during the snips set, i think i was the only girl in the pit for awhile for a reason.

SkaRobotArmy 08-29-2007 05:06 PM

yea, but sometimes it is more fun to skank your way through the pit. but i mean, people can do whatever they feel like and like henrik said, with 3rd wave, theres usually heavier moshable parts too.

Aficionado 08-29-2007 06:11 PM

The snips SUCKED balls!

Henrik 08-31-2007 10:02 AM

Snippets of new SM songs!!!!!

http://www.streetlightmanifesto.com

It is very very short clips but it is still awesome to finally hear something new recorded.

Liebensaft 08-31-2007 10:05 AM

All three of those snippets sounded like they could have been from the same song. They could have picked better snippets.

I hope this album's half as good as their last.

Henrik 08-31-2007 10:10 AM

I think they sound pretty good. the second one though is so short that you can't really judge anything.

But Would You Be Impressed sounds very good even though I know it is too short to that I can actually know.

Aficionado 08-31-2007 11:39 AM

Sounds good.

MBS 08-31-2007 11:43 AM

Kalnoky's voice sounds different.... again.

edit - hm, any news on botar? i know tomas said they were looking for members and that the album would come out at the same time as streetlight's.

i've had this 50 dollars waiting to buy both of them in my bank in my room for a long time. =\

edit edit - a better place, a better time is my favorite song by streetlight, btw.

lunchforthesky 08-31-2007 03:58 PM

I just got into them, ska isn't usually my thing but Streetlight are brilliant.

Danger Bird 08-31-2007 03:58 PM

Me too probably, maybe A Moment of Silence. (to MBS)

I don't care that much about the album but the tour is great news, I hope I get to see them. I've missed the opportunity like 3 three times.

SkaRobotArmy 08-31-2007 05:02 PM

you might be confusing his voice with the sax players, he's doing a lot more vocals than before i believe and they sound very similar.

snippets all sound awesome, so at least we know it will be out before november...
and an australian RBF\LTJ\SM tour in the works for those that didn't get the clue...

Danger Bird 08-31-2007 06:05 PM

LTJ is Less Than Jake, no?

Liebensaft 08-31-2007 06:21 PM

Yeah. Less Than Jake.

When I saw them, they played for like six fucking hours with this huge Price is Right thing. So dumb.

Danger Bird 08-31-2007 06:28 PM

Yeah, I'd never see RBF and LTJ just to see SM open. They're both really annoying.
