Yeah, but The Second Stage Turbine Blade has "Time Consumer", "Everything Evil", "Delirium Trigger", "Junesong Provision", "Neverender", and "Godsend Conspirator". The new cd is really weird for me. Sometimes I can listen to it and love it, and other times, I'll listen to it and hate it because there's too much going on. The first cd will always be their best, for me, at least.
Good Apollo does have Welcome Home though which happens to be one of their best.

Other stand out songs in GA:
Ten Speed (God's Blood and Burial)
Always and Never
Wake Up
The Willing Wells(I,II,III,&IV)
Apollo I:The Writing Writer

The other ones are good, they just get repetitive and are too similar IMO.
Welcome Home is overrated IMO. The only great part is the intro, the rest is somewhat bland.

SunnyDayRealEstateAM 11-28-2005 09:28 AM

There are better songs on the CD than Welcome Home. Ten Speed and Crossing The Frame are probraly some of the best.

halfdeadhippo 11-28-2005 10:11 AM

The Willing Well songs are the highlight of the album, for me. The rest is so-so.

DepthsOfDreams555 11-28-2005 03:05 PM

I like the Apollo tracks the best I don't care if they are repetitive I really like them.

Angry Balled Fists! 11-28-2005 03:07 PM

Welcome home isn't overrated, its epic and awesome.

I loooove playing the intro too, it's so fun.

Pazz 11-28-2005 03:09 PM

If it wasn't for the intro, Welcome Home wouldn't be nearly as good. I love listening to the intro on the computer with the volume turned up pretty high.

Angry Balled Fists! 11-28-2005 03:11 PM

Nah, the whole of it is incredible, the woahs, the lead part, the rhythm, the strings !

DepthsOfDreams555 11-28-2005 03:14 PM

Ya I really don't think Welcome Home is overrated but its not my favorite song on the album it is def. still awesome.

B 11-28-2005 03:39 PM

Now, IKSOSE:3. There's a sweet epic song.

Edit: And Time Consumer, and Everything Evil. With less epicness though. And more sweet.

DJ Ducksauce 11-28-2005 07:16 PM

Welcome Home is sooo fun to play on guitar though. With all of the pinch harmonics and sweeps and whatnot.

DepthsOfDreams555 11-28-2005 08:22 PM

There all sweet it is just a big bundle of sweetness.

Don't forget:
The Crowing
The Light and the Glass
21:13

TMA 11-30-2005 11:58 AM

For me, their most epic songs are
The Light And The Glass
Welcome Home
Willing Well IV: The Final Cut
Willing Well III: Apollo II: The Telling Truth
Neverender
and Godsend Conspirator

Angry Balled Fists! 11-30-2005 12:07 PM

YEah, i agree with The light and the glass, Welcome home and ILKSOSE3.

Society Sellout 11-30-2005 12:52 PM

IKS3 is pretty epic. I would think that Everything Evil is epic as well because of the ending("you'll make it if you believe!") as well as The Crowning with the overlapping vocal parts.

cobert 11-30-2005 07:18 PM

I like the apollo tracks, the final cut, ten speeds, and erica court the most.

Now when it comes to epic:
Everything evil (kinda)
The ring in return / keeping the blade
IKSOSE:3
the crowing
The Light And The Glass
Welcome Home
All of the willing well

DepthsOfDreams555 11-30-2005 08:02 PM

Ya IKSOSE is def. epic I love that song so much.

Holyed 12-01-2005 07:56 AM

Welcome Home is the one i refer to as 'epic' when I think of the epic songs.

I would also say 'The Light and the Glass' too, and its also in my top 5 of their songs, but it has the classic soft beginning then climatic ending etc.

I'm still trying to get into IKSOSE, i'm sure I will get into that song at some point.

I am a revenant 12-01-2005 12:26 PM

I don't know if this has been posted, but on one of my first looks around the Cobalt and Calcium forums I found a link to some music by The Prize Fighter Inferno here: http://profile.myspace.com/index.cfm?fuseaction=user.viewprofile&friendID=37305643&Mytoken=F245E9F4-3CDA-4C3E-A556DBC391FA2FD3193120656
Now it seems the page has "Invalid Id", it was working for me though. I'll leave it up anyway.

Apologies if it's been posted.

Bad Blood 12-01-2005 12:48 PM

I need some other Coheed albums apart from Good Apollo.

Anyone willing to send?

Dead Star 12-01-2005 01:23 PM

If you go on AIM, yeah I can.

cobert 12-06-2005 11:17 AM

Bumper.

I dont see how this got on the second page. Really though, how?

DJ Ducksauce 12-06-2005 06:51 PM

There isn't much to talk about pertaining to Coheed anymore.

So...Claudio's double neck is pretty sweet looking...

SunnyDayRealEstateAM 12-06-2005 07:02 PM

To me the most epic song is either The Crowing or IKSOSE:#

deathscreamingsheep 12-09-2005 03:42 PM

I have to say Coheed has definately inspired me. I did attempt to write songs following a story before but the band scrapped them, still I never did lose the plotline for said story so maybe now I've got them all into Coheed they'll be more accepting.

Gnarmageddon 12-09-2005 03:44 PM

Wooo, the Co&Ca thread is back where it belongs.

I'm listening to them for the first time in ages.

Society Sellout 12-09-2005 04:21 PM

I keep going back to their first album, dang it's so good.

I did finally learn how to play Welcome home, which is insanely fun to play and the intro part to The Final Cut which is pretty cool as well.

cobert 12-09-2005 06:21 PM

So i came up with a cheesy interp of 'keeping the blade'. It has the same epic feel of 'The Ring in Return', but is simplified, so it gives a sense of realism that wasnt imposed by the grand scale of TRIR.

I guess thats why it sounds that way. Iunno.

deathscreamingsheep 12-10-2005 07:12 AM

This has probably been asked a lot in the thread so far, but I'm actually quite interested in the story that Coheed have created. Is there anywhere I can read a good interpretation?

Also, is it actually an alright story or is it just silly (ala Queenshryke [sp?]).
