I can give it a shot...

Anything you can come up with is welcome. Surely can't be worse than the frankly laughable effort my bassist made at designing a logo. As you may recall, we are Wake Up Call. Do with it as you will, sir.

Any ideas at all? It'd help me out, i dont get thaught how to just come up with millions of ideas till i start uni, i cant wait for that.

I'll think tonight :chug:

billiejoe84 04-18-2006 08:26 AM

Yeah, I understand. We haven't really got any ideas for how we want it to look which has kinda been the problem so far. Something that fits in with the feel of our music (which is pop-punk), I guess, but I dunno how you'd define that. Sorry....

Untitled 04-18-2006 08:30 AM

Cartoony/Comic book style is always good for pop-punk i think, like RBF - Cheer up, or Bouncing souls - How i spent my summer vacation, i dunno, ill have a think.

billiejoe84 04-18-2006 08:34 AM

Yeah, I love Cheer Up's cover. Well, whatever you can think of will be good, I'm sure.
oic, haven't seen you here in a while

Was it ******* stuff?

Don't post any pron ever on here. Unless you want to get banned of course.
i actually think it could have been worse than *******, mostly due to the fact that it's animated and very graphic.

and to oz: thanks for the info about the possible dvd, i couldnt find it for like 10 minutes in here so i gave up but i was 99% sure it was in here...is that blood pact news? or is it on their site?

EDIT: I just read the article on the site with the pic of Skiba's guitar...does anybody have the song Demons Away available to upload?

Yeah, its Blood Pact exclusive. Its just Derek filling us in on ideas they have bouncing around.

And no, I havn't heard that song :upset:

Hi My Name Is Mark 04-18-2006 07:03 PM

it's Skiba's solo thing, apparently. I haven't seen the CD around anywhere, and I know it's not on iTunes. I don't have Limewire anymore, but I doubt I'd find it there.

What's your favorite Skiba song (not his solo versions of Trio songs), everyone?

Oz Rembrandt 04-19-2006 04:53 AM

The City that Day

chumpradio 04-19-2006 05:31 AM

I like either Good Fucking Bye, or Demons Away.

Bad Blood 04-19-2006 05:47 AM

Demons away.

I love that song.

chumpradio 04-19-2006 05:48 AM

The chorus is great, I don't quite know why though, it just gives me a tingly feeling below the belt.

"But if you let me stay over,
I'll try to keep you safe,
I've got an army of skeletons,
To chase your demons away"

Just the way Matt sings it turns some really cheesy lyrics into an amazing chorus.

Hi My Name Is Mark 04-19-2006 02:26 PM

i like Soul To Keep...can anybody upload Demons Away for me?

I knew about this a while ago!

I thought Goddamnit! came out in 1998... so the 10th Anniversary would be 2008...

Oh wait, their first demo tape was released in 1996... makes sense then.

Good ****ing Bye, so great and In Your Wake, that's great too.

setfiretoflamesx 04-20-2006 02:20 PM

Alkaline Trio is an amazing band. Private Eye is probably my favorite song.

Mute Print 04-20-2006 02:26 PM

I'm leaving in just over an hour to go see them. Hopefully it will be good.

!MuDvAyNiAn! 04-20-2006 02:47 PM

Mute Print 04-20-2006 02:58 PM

Shall do. :)

I'm not big into Alk3, but I've been liking them a lot more as of late, so I'm sure it'll be a good time.

Chaos 04-20-2006 04:09 PM

Sup Alkaline trio?

I'm going to see the Trio tonight, it's funny because I don't really care but I used to be really into Alkaline trio and was obsessed with the idea of going to seem em live but I never have, but that'll change tonight.

So I Was wondering, has anyone ever seen Alkaline trio live or seen em play recently? am I in for a good show?

EDIT: dips, Alkaline trio is pop punk?

Sweet.

Kif 04-20-2006 04:23 PM

I saw them last year. Wasn't anything too special really, although they were pressured by someone in the crowd to play "Warbrain". They hadn't practised it in a long time, but it was great to hear that song live, one of my favourites by them. I got their autographs as well, which is a bonus I guess.

Chaos 04-20-2006 04:24 PM

Wow I made a thread, it got moved to another forum then shoved into an "official thread"

Hi My Name Is Mark 04-20-2006 04:26 PM

would you guys be mad or think it would be cool if Richard Cheese did an Alk3 cover? that guy does some insane covers...(i hate slipknot but...) he did a good cover of one of their songs, did a good cover of enter sandman...great cover of come out and play (the offspring), from what i've heard of it, his cover of feelin' this is good too...so i know he does the pop-punk stuff, and doesn't have a problem with swearing (the slipknot song was People = Sh!t and no i'm not saying they or metallica are pop-punk) so i don't think it would be awkward for him to do one

it'd be stupid because Alkaline trio isn't as popular as those other bands.

imo

!MuDvAyNiAn! 04-20-2006 04:44 PM

i think it would be hilarious, iv only heard him do a cover of chop suey by SOAD and it was the funniest thing iv ever heard, i never realised he done loads of covers..?
