Right now I want to learn The Wind Cries Mary by Hendrix and Cause We've Ended As Lovers by Jeff Beck. I think I'll make those my two key songs to learn. I only know a few songs (every part, all the way through, entirely), so I'm gonna try more.

And DN, I was kidding about the withdrawl thing, I don't think that happens.
Good Jeff Beck choice. Not an original though, I think it's a Stevie Wonder song.

One of the things I miss about Boston: Patriots Day. A holiday celebrated only in MA in mid-April, where everyone can take a day off work or school and enjoy the nice weather (and in Boston, we only have a small window of good weather in April). And because the Boston Marathon is run that day, it's also acceptable to drink before noon.

Its gonna be a diasaster reading it in front of the class.

What, your iambic pentameter poem? It's not hard to read iambic pentameter, just figure out the syllables you should eccentuate.

Simple Man 02-19-2005 02:38 PM

Haha, I found it in the photo book, got bored and posted it.

I don't think he meant actually reading it was going to be hard. I think he meant it's going to suck reading it for his class.

yeah, but i make it so much harder then it is. I totally understand it, but have no idea how to do it - just because which sylables i think are stressed are usually wrong.

Is there some kind of search engine somewere on the internet were i can type in a word and itll put which sylables are stressed/unstressed? sounds like something that exsist but i had trouble finding one.

Then again, if i werent an idiot, i wouldnt have this kind of problem :upset:

You're missing the point.

What he means is, the poem sucks so bad he doesn't want to share it with anyone.

Sheesh, 14 year olds these days. No reading comprehension skills.

EDIT: Looks like I was wrong

Woodstock 02-19-2005 02:46 PM

Wind Cries Mary is one of the greatest Hendrix songs.

"The Wind Cries Mary" is my favorite song on AYE?, with "Third Stone From the Sun" and the title track rounding out the top three.
