To clarify about the 7 string James used one on st anger as my friends has the tab book and i have seen him playing it in the studio on some kind of monster
he tunes the lowest strings both to the same note (C) just to either reinforce the root note or leave ringing for ambience

WOW, I'm surpirsed none of u guys said Frantic for St Anger. IMO, its one of the heaviest riffs and one of the few songs on the slbum that doesn't taper off os start to suck toward the end...it only gets heavier w/ the breakdown and stuff
and the vocals r just as friggin intense as they r. heres my list:

Dave writes practically everything for Megadeth minus a few songs. He writes more interesting rhythm than Kirk could ever think of. I feel he's a better guitarist and doesn't need wah to hide his mistakes.
