Woah, there's some Kurt Russell movie on, and they're in a bar and Jeff Healey is on stage.

I'm watching that too. I'm not really sure what it is though.
I knew that, I should get a cookie.

I don't like London Calling, I do like Raw Power though. I'm in need of Kick out the Jams.

NP: Miles Davis-So What
It took me nearly two years to get into London Calling, and as of now, I'm still not into all of it.

Listen to "Rudie Can't Fail", that's a great mix of Punk and Reggae.

Bob Marley was actually largely influenced by The Clash.

What if you already have it? You can't just send me off in the dark like this!

EDIT: about that movie it's not Kurt Russell, it's Patric Swayze (sp?). I always get them mixed up.

Jam2Me 06-29-2005 08:14 PM

Anyone check out that Traveling Wilburys stuff?

Very hard to come by. It got overshadowed by Eric Clapton and God or whatever, its music at its finest. If you guys like it let me know I can make some suggestions and let you check out another AWESOME hard to come by CD that none of you have.

BlackDeathMetalJazz or really ANYTHING else please- 06-29-2005 08:14 PM

Badmoon: That's suprising to hear. Who's in your avatar?

I actully had Vol 1 but I didn't like it so I deleted it.

I have Volume 1 on viynl. It's good.

JPJ, I saw you stick up for that guy in the A&I thread. Thats an un-JPJish thing to do.

Mr. White (Harvey Keitel) from Reservoir Dogs. A lot of the characters Keitel plays own; he's a good actor.

I downloaded Vol. 3 and commented. I've been looking for 3 for a long time, I already had 1 and it's one of my favorite CD's. I think I said "you are god" or something after you uploaded it which led to the whole "god" thing that we should probably try to avoid. Thanks a lot for the album though, it's great :thumb:

jpj 06-29-2005 08:22 PM

I DIDN'T LIKE THE TRAVELING WILBURYS EITHER!

On another note I'm now uploading something.

Jam2Me 06-29-2005 08:22 PM

Some very good music in Reservoir Dogs..."Stuck in the Middle" "Little Green Bag" "Lime in the Coconut" before it was demonized by Coca Cola.

EDIT, now I want to watch the movie.

BlackDeathMetalJazz or really ANYTHING else please- 06-29-2005 08:24 PM

That was a long time ago; before I even came into this thread. My tastes have evolved alot so maybe I'll enjoy it now.

Haha, usually, when there is an arguement you usually go to the corner and cry, but your right that guy was being a complete douche bag.

Yea, most Tarantino movies have great soundtracks.

Broken Arrow 06-29-2005 08:26 PM

"Little Green Bag" is my favourite on the soundtrack. Great groove.

I don't like conflict, it makes my head hurt, but that guy was an ungrateful bastard. There's one thing I can't stand and that's ungrateful bastards . . . well, that and carnies.

Can't tell ya, it's a surprise! :p

Jam2Me 06-29-2005 08:27 PM

Its light, fun music made by extremely talented geniuses. What's not to enjoy?

A lot of people like Vol. 1 better than Vol. 3 and I am one of them, but not by much. Vol. 3 is really good, I like the Dylan songs better on Vol. 3.

Top Metty has been on tour anyone catch him?

A lot of people don't seem to like it. But if you like most of the musicians involved- Orbison, Harrison, Dylan, Petty, and Lynne, then you will probably like it. It's really just them having fun. You can really tell how much fun they are having just by listening to the music.

Orbison died in between 1 and 3 though :(

I bought his greatest hits a couple days ago but forgot to tell everyone about it. It's great.

I'm not familiar with him, perhaps you mean Tom Petty?

I don't know if I can like many Dylan songs more than Congratulations. That song is amazing.

He was sweet as "The Wolf", and he played a good scumbag in Taxi Driver. What a great actor :thumb:

Yea, Harvey Keitel is the shit. The Wolf has to be one of the greatest movie characters of all time, up there with Captain Jack Sparrow.

Jam2Me 06-29-2005 08:32 PM

My dixlexia wins that round.

Dyslexia too.

Glitterati 06-29-2005 08:42 PM

What movie is Harvey Keitel "The Wolf" in? I've only seen him in Taxi Driver.

Badmoon 06-29-2005 08:44 PM

Pulp Fiction

Yea, I think I prefer Reservoir Dogs though.

It's interesting how both of those movies have small connections, though. Like Mr. Blonde and Vincent Vega and Mr. White and Jimmie Dimmick.

*Hopes you all understand the connections* ;)

What? How do you make this connection? I haven't seen the movies in awhile.
