I love when there's music on the Simpsons.

I remember once Bart and Lisa made a song and they were singing verses and Homer goes

"might I add - no fat chicks"

It was so perfect; I actually Lol'd

Ive never seen that one.

I like the lollapalooza one though.

Alos, I remember once we had a discussion on there not being many CR refrences in FAmily Guy. But does anyone remember the episode when Peter befriends Death and gets him to force Peter Frampton into playing for him and Lois?

RockAndRoll 06-29-2005 06:57 PM

Ya, that's a good episode.

I don't remember that one. I do remember one where Peter was trying to get some actor to admit that he was gay, and they walk into the house and Peter says, "I swear, the Wizard of Oz and Dark Side of the Moon totally sync up." Or something along those lines.

robo2448 06-29-2005 06:59 PM

There's the Family Guy one about Kiss, that's hilarious. There's also the one with "I've got blisters on my fingers!"

RockAndRoll 06-29-2005 07:00 PM

Ya that's in the one where Adam wes thinks people are stealing the water . To the oz thing.

I feel some how this was directed towards me. I've never said that. A few (idiotic) *Barrett fans say that not me. Besides they don't post "Barrett is God" everywhere.

What was the point of this sarcastic remark directed towards me?

It was to show how much of a fanboy you are towards Barrett, as slowhand is to Clapton.

EDIT: What JPJ said

To quote Ron Burgandy, "Great Caesar's Ghost" It's a song by a small British band called The Beatles that you may have heard of :p

You need to buy the White Album, maybe I'll upload it tonight or tomorrow afternoon.

I could never quite get into the White Album, minus a few songs. I like Abbey Road, Revolver, MMT, and Sgt. Pepper's all much better.

White Album is a better Beatles album, but not by much.

How would that show how much I'm a fanboy towards Syd? I never say that nor think that.

robo2448 06-29-2005 07:22 PM

White Album is my favorite just because of the diversity, but all the Beatles albums are all nearly the same in greatness. It seems like a lot of people kind of worship the White Album like me or they don't really like it that much.

Woodstock 06-29-2005 07:24 PM
How would that show how much I'm a fanboy towards Syd? I never say that nor think that.
You've stated a few times "I think Syd Barrett is the greatest songwriter" or other stuff similar to that.

Badmoon 06-29-2005 07:26 PM
If anyone says Jesus = hitler they are an idiot.
This is true.

BlackDeathMetalJazz or really ANYTHING else please- 06-29-2005 07:28 PM

^I also agree
You've stated a few times "I think Syd Barrett is the greatest songwriter" or other stuff similar to that.
That's different than saying he's god. (IMO)

Oh well I'm over it.....The White Album is their best IMO.

TheDMV 06-29-2005 07:31 PM

I have the White album, well, my bro does. I sort of remember that part now though.

Guess I'm paying too much attention to the music

Broken Arrow 06-29-2005 07:39 PM
To piss you off.
haha, yeah.

I'm just joking though. I'm one of the few people who dig Syd, just not as much as you do.

Raw Power is sweet Woodstock.

BlackDeathMetalJazz or really ANYTHING else please- 06-29-2005 07:42 PM

Raw Power is my favorite Punk album. Anyone like London Calling?

I knew that, I should get a cookie.

I don't like London Calling, I do like Raw Power though. I'm in need of Kick out the Jams.

NP: Miles Davis-So What

BlackDeathMetalJazz or really ANYTHING else please- 06-29-2005 07:50 PM

It was kinda rebel of them to mix pop and punk like that I mean punk was meant to be anti-pop and them mixing the two was brave. Considering their reputation before they made it. They created a true monster though. :upset:

I wouldn't really use brave to describe it, kind of works though. I think stupid works better.

And who can guess my avatar? You should be shot if you don't know it.
