I'm js. A lot of crust bands sound same-ish and it's just kinda redundant to listen to another clone of Riistetyt or Discharge.

I don't think you can really listen to music and think "if they aren't gonna do anything different what's the point"

I listen to a lot of crust and a lot of the bands sound very similar. I'm not dying to check out new crust unless it's a little innovative or especially good. New Darkthrone is neither.

I haven't outright disliked any of their albums yet except [i]Goatlord[/i], which is a collection of early demos to my understanding

Meh, their middle era stuff is quite boring. But like their latest two albums are as outstanding as the first stuff.

Their middle era stuff is real same-y, but I find if you haven't listened to Darkthrone in a while it's much better lol.

[i]Panzerfaust[/i] just seems like a lesser version of [i]Transilvanian Hunger[/i], but I still found it pretty good. [i]Ravishing Grimness[/i] didn't really grab my attention though.

Ravishing Grimness is like my favorite.

The Claws Of Time is such a good song.

First four albums are all awes.

it was the would be album to follow soulside journey before they switched to black metal. some of the riffs and lyrics of a blaze in the northern sky can be found in goatlord

TH is my fav.

Ravishing Grimness tbh.

Blaze is still my favorite.

I don't mind their newer stuff, but it's not really something I usually reach for.
