its a road that runs east/west. detroit metro has roads that are called mile roads that tell you how far north of detroit you are. so if youre in downtown youre at 1 Mile Rd, but if you take a north/south road from 1 Mile Rd up to 16 Mile Rd, then the neighbourhood goes from ghetto to middle class. by the time you get to 26 Mile Rd you have upper middle class and lower upper class residents.
