ill have to hear something from the whole band before i can be excited. i doubt bryzz will let me down but those other fags will try 2 cum between us

AHandfulOfSweatpants 03-10-2010 05:45 PM

Haha, yeah I know I know, I feel your pain. At first I was sorely disappointed at Muenzner's inclusion, but after forum members shared in the dissent, he actually got on and posted a lengthy response assuring everyone that his solos would be "distinctly SoP", and not just another helping of Obscura/Necrophagist poop. I don't know if you've heard the snippet Bryzz released (it's hardly anything to get excited about; fruityloops drums and only around a minute of metal), but if it's any indication of how the new album will sound, then color me stoked.

Anthracks 03-10-2010 05:51 PM

yes i liked it
How did everyone feel in regards to the latest Deeds release? (lol, latest as in two years ago)
Anthracks 03-10-2010 06:14 PM

say the poster children of generic death mtl testes

Deth 03-10-2010 06:15 PM

god I love how bolt thrower used basically the same identical riff in 3 songs without trying to hide it and they all dominate

DBlitz 03-10-2010 06:16 PM

you'll love deeds of flesh

Anthracks 03-10-2010 06:17 PM

hahahhahahahahahshbahfashfahfhafhahsfaahhaHAHHAajdfkaf

masscows 03-10-2010 06:17 PM

it's a leitmotif bro, those 3 songs are supposed to be continuations of each other

that is if you're talking about cenotaph and those 2 other songs

Anthracks 03-10-2010 06:18 PM

classical terminology

Deth 03-10-2010 06:19 PM

they've used the cenotaph opening riff in like 4 songs

Tyler 03-11-2010 02:33 PM

idk if anyone still likes them but Wormed posted new songs

http://www.myspace.com/wormed

there's like 800 pinch harmonics in the first half of Quasineutrality. and the guitars are still frustratingly hard to hear, but it sounded cool when i jacked my shitty laptop speakers up.

weaboo 03-11-2010 02:36 PM

their myspace is the most brent thing ive ever seen

AHandfulOfSweatpants 03-11-2010 02:39 PM

Hmm, decent, vocals are lol.

landonius 03-11-2010 02:41 PM
So my band was chatting outside of our room tonite and I was talking about how this one bassist, who I thought was in Origin, plays a fretless bass while playing tech death. Trey from Dying Fetus comes around the corner and is like "I think you mean the guy from Obscura" and I was like, "Oh yeah that's it. Dude is nuts!" and we went on to talk about tech death bassists. It was kinda cool.
I just watched the bassist from Obscura last night. it was excellent. :chug:

Tyler 03-11-2010 02:42 PM
Hmm, decent, vocals are lol.
vocals are the same as they've always been though

slurping milk from the deepest geological pits of hruuuuuuul. i can't imagine the lyrics this time around with those song titles. the robotic spoken stuff in "Undeciphering the Inquantificability" is almost worse than the title.

AHandfulOfSweatpants 03-11-2010 02:46 PM
the robotic spoken stuff in "Undeciphering the Inquantificability" is almost worse than the title.
Just heard that part and was thinking the same thing. Robot gurgs.

that was atrocious

Anthracks 03-11-2010 03:12 PM

guitars are easy to hear and phlegeton's vocals, while completely amazing, aren't ridiculous within the genre

surprised how much people like wormed considering theyre space slam

weaboo 03-11-2010 03:14 PM

wormed is way too deep for some of you morons go back to listening to your shoegaze
