Heyy iceman...

Quatre: does that bass effects processor just process the effects from a pedal, or can I use that for actual effects itself? Sorry if it's a lame question, but I'm not much of a tech guy...

bottlerocket 11-30-2004 12:02 AM
Audioslave is cool, specially shadow on the sun...it has an awesome bassline to it.
Yeah, I used to like them, but not so much anymore. I think I will start liking them again soon, though.

So I can use that just like a pedal?

audioslave is awsome . . . in cochise, timmy c. brilliantly uses his distortion/wah, and exploder has such a kickass bassline . . .

Rollo47 11-30-2004 12:06 AM

DSOTM rules. One of my favourite albums of all time.

I love the random speech bits in there.

"I don't know, I was really drunk at the time."

nisakss 11-30-2004 12:06 AM

Yeah Timmy C. really has good taste in his basslines, he usually plays few notes, but he makes the most of them, mostly through tone.

And the laughing at the beginning and end, genious! So what do you prefer, DSOTM, or The Wall?

bottlerocket 11-30-2004 12:09 AM

RTL: I can't guarantee anything, but I'll try.

Night man.

bottlerocket 11-30-2004 12:11 AM
Night rtl.
ScorpSath 11-30-2004 12:11 AM

DSOTM, but that is biased seeing is how I've been listening to it constantly lately. You?

Rollo47 11-30-2004 12:12 AM
And the laughing at the beginning and end, genious! So what do you prefer, DSOTM, or The Wall?
DSOTM.

The Wall is brilliant (the movie kicks arse) - musically and thematically, but DSOTM is just bliss for the brain. Really gets to me in a way I can't describe. I love the way it's good no matter what sort of mood your in - be it tired, depressed, stoned, happy, whatever.

Both amazing albums, though.

ScorpSath 11-30-2004 12:13 AM

Rep to the person who can tell me what DSOTM AND The Wall are based on, what is there concepts. 1 rep for one answer 2 for both

Rollo47 11-30-2004 12:14 AM

The Wall is based on the movie, heh - the story of a depressed rock star, basically.

No idea about DSOTM, though.

bottlerocket 11-30-2004 12:15 AM

I know the Wall is about some dude named Pink who had a crappy life and did drugs, so he was happy in his highs and trippy states and stuff.

I have no idea about DSOTM.

:thumb:

EDIT: Beaten...BLAST.

ScorpSath 11-30-2004 12:16 AM

The wall is what he builds up I believe. Like his depression. My mother picked out my girlfriends, might as well pick up another brick (not exactly)

All and all you're just another brick in the wall.

But repped for the hell of it.

iceman3019 11-30-2004 12:16 AM

i'd have to say scenes from a memory, for the same reason as you . . . i've been listening to it very often . . .

on the subject of poem stories, anyone know if the pied piper really existed? i've heard stories about some piper that piped kids into the woods and killed them, but i really doubt it . . .

bottlerocket 11-30-2004 12:23 AM

^ Not only a minion, but the head minion!

By the way, the "operation" is going smoothly...you know...that "thing" I'm not allowed to speak of...yeah, that, it's going great. We only need one more human sacrifice to comple-, er, I mean, we only...need...um...another..."person" to "help" us willingly. Yep, no human sacrifices over here...
