Which is the better, American Beauty or Workingman's Dead?
Wow, two of the only three I have. If you like folkier stuff more I would recommend Workingman's Dead, American Beauty is alot more like the San Fransico stuff that came out of the 60's, I heard AB first and it got me hooked, so I'd recommend that

Yeah, right now I'm thinking American Beauty, and I think I might get something else, but not Workingman's Dead.

Badmoon 03-13-2005 11:53 AM

American Beauty is Acid Country Rock, like the New Riders of the Purple Sage (If you have ever heard them). While Workingman's Dead is much more of a Roots album.

W.D. is constantly fanastic, while A.B. has all good songs, but some just pretty good, and others are some of the Dead's best.

Get American Beauty first. It is their most known.

I'm also thinking a Who album.

The cowbell on that song owns.

Woodstock 03-13-2005 12:24 PM

They're a very underrated band. They're like the American Cream. Felix Pappalardi is not only a cool name, he's an awesome guitar player.

I thought Leslie West was the guitarist for Mountain? I thought Felix was the bass player, although all I really know about the guy is that he played viola on White Room...

Don't worry I'm here, it's gonna be ok.

It's imperative that you own:
The Who Sings My Generation

The Who Sell Out
Live at Leeds
Quadrophenia

Pick one.

Distant Echoes 03-13-2005 01:57 PM

Lunch...How could you forget Whos Next?!
