Anyway, input time (all prices USD):

I don't have $1,500 to spend on a Spector Euro LX 5, plus another $950 (give or take) on an Avatar B212 and GK RBX 700 head. So, here's my thought:

Can the Spector, and just get the cab/head, plus an effect pedal/active EMG PUPs for the Mexi J bass?

I'd get a good effect pedal, though, like the BP200 shown above (played it before, it's incredible).

Any other suggestions? I think 1,500 for a bass is just too much, and I could live with a 4 string.

epileptic, as in the avatar can give people seizures . . . looks like it really can . . . *spazzes out on the ground* . . .

It's a seizure caused be an overload of colors and flashing lights...your brain can't process it and starts freaking out.

Yeah, I heard about this. This one episode like, centered on Pikachu before he attacked, and the colors all flashed, then he shot out ligntning and the whole screen flashed for about a minute and everything kept changing. I guess a bunch of kids got epileptic fits and stuff.
