how did they go clean?
Rob is awsome live, when I saw him he was spining in circles with his bass, and playing it like a drum, he's so intertaining |
Am i the only one who thinks since AJFA, that Metallica lost there talent to write Epic songs. I mean there are a few but unlike MOP or One they just get boring real quickly. To me they haven't got any worse, i think the black album is horribly overrated, just a bit bland since the release of it. And i know its just the mixing on the album but AJFA just sounded terrible. Its just so cold. I guess its sommink to do with Cliff. I seen 'em live twice and there is no doubt that the songs on AJFA sound a hell ofa lot better live but the ones of the black album onwards, with the exception of a few, just bored me. If i hear enter bloody sandman once more im gonna murder some EMO kids.
|
i'd say probably this time next year(or later) for a new album. I speculate it will sound NOTHING like St. Anger
|
EMO? why and what does Tallica have to do with you and EMO kids?
|
I think most hardcore Metallica fans think that. I, on the other hand, think AJFA is their best.

MOP is thier best IMO |
I hate EMO kids, specially the ones down my end. Cheer up and sort out your hair ya little c***s. I'm not sayin AJFA is a bad album, it still kicks black albums ***, its more of a case of it didn't appeal to me the same way the 1st three did. It is very good. Just so cold sounding and the drumming is so tinny.
|
tiny? ever heard sad but true?
|
No its OK on the black album thanks to Bob ****. Just AJFA. The drumming is good its just so ...................... weird. And the solo's sound like a gameboy. Well some of em. As i said its a ****in superb album it just raped my senses thats all. Haha
|
Sorry guys, I worked more than I thought I would today. I have tomorrow off though so I'll be able to drum for some tracks then.

/random post.
I was playing along to 'Fade to Black', and I suddenly realised the line wasn't 'emptiness is filling me, to the point of irony'. Those lyrics still make perfect sense though. Mishearing intelligently. |
^
Honesly i think the lyrics to Fade to Black take the song down a little, It would make a greater instremental song IMO. |
kill em all is the best album (IMO) if all my metallicas cds were gone one day and only one was left i pick kill em all. and how many metallica tribute cds are out there? everytime i shop for cds there seems to be more
|
Yay, I bought the punk tribute off E-bay, thing is i don't know if it's being delivered. :(
|
i have seen a metal tribute, like 3 industrial remixes, those are all i really remember though
|
hi i just registered two seconds ago. **** this thread is long as hell.
heres a question that might of already been asked: which song on St. Anger do you think has the best guitaring, drumming, etc..? |
All Within my Hands.
Welcome to MX  |
Invisible Kid
Invisible Kid
I would say this. Not sure though, none of the guitaring is really that complex and I know nothing about the complexity of drums. |

They lyrics on both songs were terrible though. |

From http://www.tailsteak.tk
That's just rich dude.    That would probably be me singing something like that to my kids. :thumb: |

To me like every song on that record has something to do with James singing about being sober. I.E. 'This house is clean baby, this house is clean'
It gets very repetitive throughout the album which I think was one of the things that brought it down. |

I have, and I agree with you.
I was playing along to 'Fade to Black', and I suddenly realised the line wasn't 'emptiness is filling me, to the point of irony'.
hi i just registered two seconds ago. **** this thread is long as hell. heres a question that might of already been asked: which song on St. Anger do you think has the best guitaring, drumming, etc..?
I like your user name, those are their two best songs. As for St. Anger, my favorite song is Sweet Amber. But I have to agree with lightningmetal666 So we were talking about remembering Cliff on the 27th, and my school does this news show in the morning and before the news people get to pick about 30 secs of a song to play. What song? I'm thinking his last bass solo, any better ideas? |
Welcome to the forums dude.
Thanks. I think St. Anger has the best drumming and Sweet Amber has the best guitaring in the bridge (not saying much) The lyrics are all turds though (IMO) |
No, but you'll get a load of ignorant people saying it's shít.

I like the arpeggios that he uses immensely and it would be a fitting tribute to an amazing bassist. I honestly think that he was the Randy Rhodes of bass and there simply won't be another one like him. :upset: |
