really neat instrumental tech metalcore. Like Fellsilent without the vocals and nu-metally bits. |

haha how so the vocals are a little hard to deal with sometimes but thats about it |
haha how so
the vocals are a little hard to deal with sometimes but thats about it
They tend to have decent ideas with just the most underwhelming execution ever. The music ends up sounding empty, missing either a strong low end, high end, or something to connect the two. I don't mind the vocals at all, except for the end of Anchor Against Tempest, which made me go "lul, wot?" And it's a shame because their guitarist has a tabit account and is actual a talented writer. For some reason it never comes through in Grey Lines, though. http://www.myspace.com/thecharmingnj He's got a new band though, which sounds neat. |

Someone told me the music I've been writing recently is like a better Grey Lines which made me really happy because they were signed and stuff. |
They should be more like Beloved, who I just got back into recently.
Much fun, their album is. One of the best of the best the genre has to offer. Too bad Advent didn't live up to the quality standard. I've been writing music like Thrice, my friends tell me. |
Beloved have some really good songs.

On the Advent note, Advent is a completely different kind of band though so I didn't really expect them to carry on Beloved's sound. |
