Alabama rules. I just discovered how many more emo bands are from the Bay Area. Off the top of my head:

Comadre
Funeral Diner
Yaphet Kotto
Hoover
Reach Out

People tell me more.
Hoover were from DC.

Greyhouse, Sinker, Amber Inn, The Pine, Indian Summer (I think), Ordination of Aaron, Policy of 3, Heroin

tornpictures 08-31-2005 05:00 AM

Ah my bad. I'm not sure if Heroin came from the Bay Area or SD.

Life at these Speeds are also from the Bay Area.

OK, I have this song called "Growing" on my computer and it sounds pretty emo. It's pretty slow, there's a lot of distortion, a cool little bass line, soft vocals. Anyone know who this is?

Wow 08-31-2005 04:20 PM

He's big and black.

He played the chief on Homocide: Life on the Street.

One of Yaphet Kotto's albums has a picture of him as a child on it.

I have a live show on my computer.

And I think Growing is by 1.6 Band but I can't quite remember.

SGlove 08-31-2005 10:54 PM
Is it a good live show?
I've got it on Laserdisc.

It's so much better.

Isn't laserdisc those table sized cd's?

tornpictures 09-01-2005 06:19 AM

Yeah it's a pretty good show. I also have sets by Angel Hair and Driftwood.

tornpictures 09-01-2005 08:01 AM

SunnyDayRealEstateAM 09-01-2005 10:33 AM

What size? How much?

cbmartinez 09-01-2005 12:20 PM

Do you even listen to them?

Sep 09-01-2005 02:23 PM

Little Girls Pointing And Laughing by Alexisonfire = screamo.

Seriously, go listen to it.

Sep 09-01-2005 02:24 PM

Bold statement eh?

SunnyDayRealEstateAM 09-01-2005 02:43 PM

Hahaha, the definitions of emo on http://www.urbandictionary.com are so funny and so wrong.

SunnyDayRealEstateAM 09-01-2005 03:46 PM

I will read it.

whiteminority 09-01-2005 03:50 PM

I'm starting to notice a small trend with scene whore chicks to be down with The Fall of Troy. It's to the point where someone asks me what kind of music I like and I start to name bands and say The Fall of Troy they will immediately say "You ****ing poser, only posers like The Fall of Troy." and that annoys the **** out of me.

whiteminority 09-01-2005 03:52 PM

I clicked on your link for the fall of troy review and got sent to this website http://expired.revenuedirect.com/park.php?domain_name=SPUTNIKMUSIC.COM which said that the domain name had expired.

whiteminority 09-01-2005 04:06 PM

Nah, that is not what I meant. I meant I hate it when a band gets semi-popular (like The Fall of Troy) and I get **** for liking them.

SunnyDayRealEstateAM 09-01-2005 04:09 PM

The link doesn't work. Even if I go to musicianforums home page and click on "cd reviews" it says the page has to be renewed.
