I got my ticket for the Chicago date of Gigantour today, why isnt anyone comming to St.Louis this summer! hehe, oh well...no distance is to great for another Megadeth show...tis a shame Symphony X is only getting a short 25 minute set, im sure they will do a mean 3-4 songs in that time span lol.
Woah, I remember you from my lurking days >_> |
Hopefully tomorrow, I'll reach the insane solo. That one will take a little while.
Dave's solo really isn't that tough, have fun with it. And holy shit its Frail, you've been gone forever man! |
^^^
indeed it has. I was getting sick of dealing with the newbs and wasnt getting anything out of being on here anymore...it was like i did all the work helping people and got nothing in return haha. well ill be back for now and see how it goes... when i saw Megadeth in November, a guy threw a sweater at Dave during "kick the chair" and the audience (along with the rest of the band) really thought he was going to fight this guy lol. |

probably is nothing notable, but i just nailed the whole basslines of My Last Words, with this song i complete the whole basslines of the Peace Sells... album.

Such a sick album, bass wise. David Ellefson was the best bassist choice for Megadeth in my opinion, although I always thought he was lacking from RIP onwards... |

Mathis was that Holy Wars you recorded a rough one or the one the good one?
|
I'll record another one sometime this week, I can't really remember.
|
When is the greatest hits supposed to come out?
|

happened at the gig i was at aswell but Dave ended up just saying not to throw ****e on stage then went into the next song |
When is the greatest hits supposed to come out?
I think its already out, i saw it yesterday |
I went to go buy it today and it wasn't there, I just bought some Black Sabbath CDs instead. By the way this thread is dying. Theres like 5 regular posters in here.
|
Yeah, really... Lord Abortion and GraverobbersInc rarely post in here anymore...
I really don't see any point in buying the greatest hits, I already have all the music. I can't wait for Arsenal of Megadeth though. So my guitar teacher is friends with Symphony X's bassist, and might be able to hook me up with a backstage pass for Gigantour. That'd be awesome. |
Which is? :S
I think their new DvD that they are going to release. Actually, it might have Gigantour footage, I think. |
Sweeet!
I don't have a Megadeth DVD.. Have they even released one? If so, what's it called, and is it worth it? :p |

I could be totally wrong though, If I were you, I'd go check some websites and make sure. But, I'm fairly confident I'm right. Yeah, they have an older DvD called Rude Awakening. Its just a concert, but its cool. |

Yeah, Rude Awakening is a live show they did in Arizona. They made it a DVD mainly because they had to cancel a show in Argentina because of 9/11. Its pretty awesome, check it out definitely. Unfortunately, they don't have any DVDs with Friedman.
I think their new DvD that they are going to release. Like Rock in Rio was. |
I wish they released one with older footage with Friedman.. that would rock.
|

I used to have that Italy concert from like 92. That was pretty sick.

I use to have it downloaded from Limewire, It was so awesome. |
Yeah, I accidentally deleted it while deleting pron though :upset:
|
I use to have it downloaded from Limewire, It was so awesome.
I've seen it a few times on Limewire, I can't be bothered to download it though. |
I have a few videos live with the classic lineup, I actually have a bootleg from 86 with Poland and Samuelson as well. :x
|
Yeah, I accidentally deleted it while deleting pron though :upset:
Oddly enough, that's how I lost it. I'm not kidding. |
/keeps pr0n separate  |
/keeps pr0n separate
It was a mess. I had a huge load of Pron and Concert Videos. Limewire, for some reason, was screwed up. I had to delete it. So there went my Pron, and my Megadeth vid. |
I deleted my avatar, and the file it came from :(
|
I used to have Megadeth at Woodstock on tape from like '97 or something, but I lost it.

Go vote Ellefson. |
their best album is rust in peace.its a must have or maybe cryptic writings.Who do u think is better metallica or megadeth?.i think megadeth b/c the totally outclass metallica in the musicionly(if thats a real word).u no wot i mean :D
|
I don't think that matters. Both bands make different music, it's like comparing Green Day to Testament. My favourite 'Deth album is So Far, So Good, So What...

I think metallica are a little better are writing catchy metal songs that appeal to more people, but lookin at albums like R.I.P megadeth are alot more complex (especially with mr friedman  ) |
Btw i thought it would be relevant to put it in here
Does anyone have Marty Friedmans new(ish) solo album, music for speeding?? Opinions on it? |
I'm getting gigantour tickets in a day or two hopefully :)
I've just been insanely hooked on megadeth since hearing them last summer, so far I have KIMB, PS, RIP, CTE, youthansia, and TSHF. The instrumental work is just amazing, and Mustaine is just the definition of metal. Can't wait!! |
On Metallica vs. Megadeth:
Megadeth is obviously the more talented band. Anyone who argues that is a fool. After that, songwriting is subjective. Needless to say, I much prefer Dave and crew. I've never gotten into Marty's post-Deth solo stuff... I wish metal-guitar was still here, he had like all of Marty's catalogue. |
