true. i guess we need dry weather to keep us safe from ourselves.
i mean seriously, EVERY evening i hear ambulence sirens out my window. at least once a day. |
Yeah, we moved out to the sticks so I don't hear the sirens anymore. But when I was in Redhawk I heard sirens at least twice a night.
Rain is nice, but CA drivers become even more retarded when it rains. :\
d00d, the same thing happens here, but with snow. As soon as the snow hits--granted, it rarely does--everyone and their mother forgets how to drive. |
That makes me wonder what it's like when snow falls in NorCal. Do they become thrice the retard?

Probably. :p |

Morning all.

Here in Indiana snow isn't that much of a problem. It happens enough that we arent' retarded about it when it snows.
|
Morning, ebe.
Also, PaulSimonon, that is because it happens all the time there. Here, we receive snow once ever few winters, and then everyone is just crashing into each other and whatnot. It drives me absolutely bonkers. |

Ah, the joys of the Southern Hemisphere
Lucky. You, generally, have to go up into the mountains to see any snow normally. One of the ski places over here even generates their own snow when there isn't much of it. |

Its currently hitting up to 30 degrees Celcius durring the day at the moment. I would honestly rather be cold and be able to dress up warmly than strip down to jocks and be sweating amd sticking to my seat. |

I would prefer to be hot allowing me take off my shirt and trousers just to cool off. Granted, you do feel gross when sweaty, but I hate being cold. And, with me being really thin, I become cold easily, but, when it is hot outside, I don't really start sweating until the temperature is like 35 Celsius up. |

You say tomato and I say tomato........................................:thumb:
That saying doesn't work much when written out. :p I wouldn't doubt it if we actually did pronounce it the same way. |

I wouldn't doubt it if we actually did pronounce it the same way.
Curse the inability to fully express ones self over the internet.............hence the invention of the smiley, but even then they still lack the full range. I think we need a "Disagreement of Opinion" aka "GTFO" smiley, that could be quite funny. |

i noticed they have jazz's now, GB99B and GB99F b for burl top and f for flamed maple. GB94 is a helluva bass though, im thinking i really wish i had one instead of a 34 :p but still i'm getting an artisan b4fl before anything else.. maybe when i graduate i'll buy myself an A4 or a 94. or some huge ****ing amp. :smash: |

And the swamp ash and wenge & maple neck really add to the tone. The electronics let it down a little, I am not so fond ofthe Barts, but they do work for fretless. I am actually wanting a 6er at the moment and was checking out a older TRB, but the neck is just too wide, so maybe an A6 is in order with a Aguilar preamp and some new pickups. |

oh, and what strings do you use on that thing?
i'm thinking i could go with some flats but they suck. is the fingerboard hardy? |

Amps/Cabs I would not touch: - Anything Ashdown - Aguilar AG500 |
oh, and what strings do you use on that thing?
i'm thinking i could go with some flats but they suck. is the fingerboard hardy?
The fingerboard is unfinished indian rosewood. I am currently using D'Addario Chromes on it and there is no wear that I can see. It ships with roundwounds which is abit silly but I imagine for cost friendly, but I took those off immediately, they chew up the fingerboard pretty badly. Stick with flats and it will last you a lifetime. Also it pretty much defeats the purpose of a fretless sound if you string it up with rounds. |
