well, maiden plays much faster when they play it live.... i have always played rime of the ancient mariner after live after death, so when i played it after the album.. it was way to easy... i started doing other stuff while playing it...
doesn't bruce have a radio show on BBC6?
It was cool, my mum listened to it one time....while I was at the Maiden Concert in sheffield...some crazy stuff happening there... |
Okay, so we have some UK ppl here........a question to the geordie...Why are there no good radio stations in the UK that actually play metal????? Like the bands that sprang forth from the bosom of the UK.........I heard not a trace of Maiden, Priest, Sabbath, Zeppelin or even Floyd for that matter. It wasnt a one off either, because I've been over loads of times now. No decent metal radio stations. Okay rant over.
sorry I took so long... anyway the answer is that alot of people in England are stupid and want ****ty music to listen to speaking as an Englisman personally the recent music from England sucks and cradle are the only good band to come out of england in the last 10 years It's such a shame that nowhere plays good music the radio stations just play what people want and generally England wants ****ing awful music! |

A) cradle are sh!te B) inme, the streets, robbie williams, feeder, stereophonics (they haven;'t been going on for more than ten years, surely), etc. just coz it's not metal, don't mean that it ain't good. and, just for extra emphasis CRADLE SUCK |
I see a few things wrong with THAT sentence Idiot... THE STREETS?!!! Get out... |
the streets > you. mike skinner is an extremly talented writer and he is one of the few people that can make rap and garage accessable to the public en masse.
and you like cradle of filth teh win |
look go away if you want to discuss the streets there are other forums for people like you...
it's late and I'm tired, Cradle Rule Goodnight Godbless everyone except you... |
doesn't bruce have a radio show on BBC6?
im sure it was radio two well i know he did one show on radio 2 at least i didnt hear it tho but its a shame i didnt |
he did a weekly show on bbc2 called monsters of rock i think, that ran for six weeks.
but he has a constantly weekly show on bb6 i believe. and cradle really do suck. they try to be black metal... and FAIL if you want black metal, listen to some real black metal bands (read: Immortal, best black metal band EVAR) pfff. cradle. black metal for the mallcore genaration |
Sign Of the Cross , what is your interpretation of that song? Just Curious.
|
Corruption of religion I believe...in a nutshell
|
Yes, it is about how religion was a good ideal, but has been corrupted into something worse.
Ha, I just heard the Rock In Rio version of Fear Of The Dark. Brlliant :)
Better than the real IMO. |
I bought the visions of the beast dvd the other day and me being a relativley new maiden fan it was a good range of songs, anlthough i did find that i didnt like the other (name?)singer and that most of the songs he sings on arent as good as bruce's time. does anyone else agree.
My fav songs on visons are probably hallowed be thy name, fear of the dark and 2 minutes to midnight. but just about all are great. |
Yes, most everyone agrees that Blayze isn't as good as Bruce.
|
i listened to x factor for the first time two days ago
intial reaction... how can this exist? i know some people actually say it's a decent album, but i disagree. it's got a very few worthwhile songs in it - judgement in heaven is initially my favourite, but sign of the cross is a HUGE dissappointment after hearing the RIR version, and the other song i had heard good things about - blood on the worlds hands - was a bit on the crap side to tell the truth. however, i've only listend to this once through - on initial impressions, when i bought fear of the dark and powerslave at the same time, i thought the former was better than the latter. how very wrong i was - the 2nd time listening to those albums and my perspective changed completely. so we'll see how it goes with this 'un |

cant we just stop comparing him to Bruce?! THEY DO NOT HAVE THE SAME STYLE OF SINGING!!! Maiden have had 3 singers, wich non of them had the same style of singing.. and the X factor is an great album, it just need a little time to get into.. |

Blaze REALY suckes on songs that not was from his period in Maiden..they where just not meant for his kinda voice. exept for "afraid to shoot strangers" that one was pretty good. :thumb: i have never heard him on stuff from pauls period though... |

I'd be interested to know what stuff like Number of the beast and so on were like with Blaze singing...
I've got a bootleg DVD of Iron Maiden from what I think may've been virtual XI's tour but I'm not certain, Its from Argentina. Its so ****ty Blaze's voice can not stay in pitch for more than 3words. Also Maiden's popularity dropped so much during the Blaze years and Nicko hated him, From what I've heard he used to stand up then point and laugh at Blaze during the Clansman at the intro at shows. I can not stand any of Iron Maidens greats whilst Blaze is singing them on that DVD I just can't watch it. They're in some small indoor arena which I'm sure only hosted afew hundred people. Also I'm Thingy_guy just with a new acount if anybody remembers me...I doubt anyone will though  |
After being a maiden fan for years and seen em live a while ago, I've just shocked myself by realise i have no 'proper studio album' apart from dance of death, basically I have quite a few best of's and rock in rio, and i need to get a studio album, which one should I get?
|
Powerslave-Number of the Beast-Somewhere In Time-Piece of Mind. One of those, I cant decide.
|

the version of fear of the dark is live on best of the beast. |
isn't that the 93 version? I'm pretty **** sure it is
