Any love for Lair Of The Minotaur here?
Heavy as hell..but not too slow to stop you from listening if you don't like your sludge too slow. np: Lair Of The Minotaur - Grisly Hound Of The Pit \m/ |
I don't really like them.

In an attempt once more to turn up the doom in this thread....
I usually shy away from going over the top wqith proclaimations of the greatness of albums I have recently bought. However, I'm going to go out on a limb here... Musically, the new Warning album "Watching from a Distance" is one of the greatest albums ever released. Lyrically it is the greatest. If you have any pretensions of liking emotional and crushingly heavy metal then you MUST buy this album. I can't even begin to describe how moving and amazing this album is. |
which band? Warning`? never heard of them... traditional doom metal or what?
|
Warning are Traditional Doom. I've got one of their previous full lengths and it's great so I'll have to check this out.
|
i never got a fan of traditional doom metal; i only like funeral and death-doom metal :D
|
*checks out Warning*
|
Never heard of Warning, I will definitely look for them.

 I like me some traditional doom at times as well though. |
Man, the torrent for Warning isn't working...
*grumble* |
Traditional doom is my favorite. I enjoy funeral, and am quickly becoming a big fan of death-doom.
Would one of you gents care to upload some Warning? |
Angel Eyes - Something to Do with Death
Kind of a mesh of post-metal, doom, and black metal. Really good. They have a myspace. |

Seconded. Rep for he who does, and e-secks. |

Yeah, the record is good.
|
Angel Eyes is like a lesser version of Rosetta.
|
Angel Eyes is like a lesser version of Rosetta.
Rosetta reminded me alot of Isis when I heard them. Angel Eyes only reminds me a tad of Isis. |

Bartender. |
Anyone listen to Mourning Beloveth? I have The Sullen Sulcus, and it's one of the better doom albums I've got in the last couple of months.
|
Please don't upload any Warning albums. I know the guy who runs the label and he works hard and puts a lot of his own money into these releases. stealing from bands and underground labels is not cool.
Here's an old demo track http://www.miskatonic.cc/WARNING.mp3 and last time I checked there was a sample from the new album on the Miskatonic Myspace page. If you like it then buy the album (If can't find a distro let me know and I'll give you contact details). Trust me you will not be disappointed. |
I really like Mourning Beloveth. I thought that the vocalist is the same guy from My Dying Bride, they really sound the same.
|
There's two guys singing in Mourning Beloveth. Darren, who does the growls and Frank who does the clean vox. Frank is also in Old Season who are ace.
|
Than it's Frank who I found sounding similar to Aaron Stainthorpe from My Dying Bride. I should be on the lookout for Old Season then. Thanks for the tip.
|
Cool. I think the main difference between the two is that Frank can actually carry a tune.
You'll like Old Season. Great band. |
Is Old Season Traditional doom or Death/Doom?
