He cut the tips off on his last day of work and now wears thimble thingies on them.
|
He severed the really sensitive points on the very edge of his fingertips, he actually had artificial ones put in, that's probbably why you dont see them.
|
^Negative.
He spent the night making himself little thimble type things that have been mass produced for him for the past 30 years or so. He also has to play slightly downtuned because he doesn't like the tightness of standard tuning. |
I read that he used to make 'em out of plastic when he first started to play guitar again. It also said he used banjo strings at the time because lighter gauge strings wernt available at the time.. Is that correct?
|
Where did you read that?
|
What stuff is good from the time after Ozzy left?
|
He was one of the best drummers ever.
I saw the video for The Shining earlier, its less stupid then the other Sabbath videos I've seen, just kinda a live performance with the song dubbed on top. Tony Martin on vocals :thumb:
i dont like that song Bill rules :thumb: |
So what did Tony exactly do to his fingers? I've been looking at pictures of him.. I don't see anything wrong with his fingers.
Is Tyr a worthwhile purchase? Because I haven't heard anything from the non-ozzy years
|
My 1000th post goes in tribute of Sabbath!
|
Is Tyr a worthwhile purchase? Because I haven't heard anything from the non-ozzy years
Yeah, it's the best Tony Martin album. A lot of the Dio stuff, actually all of the Dio era Sabbath is worth getting, De-humanizer being the heaviest. And Karl: wheeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeey  |
*dances*

Born Again, overall, a weak album, but It's O.K, Ian Gillian has a great voice, but it doesn't really suit Sabbath to be quite honest. |
Fans of Deep Purple should appreciate Born Again.
|
I should but when I lent it I didn't enjoy it.
