What kind of music are they?
mosh metal/breakdowncore whatever you wanna call it. In the vein of new Throwdown, xDeath Starx. http://www.myspace.com/soulcinematheatre Go there, they're on our top 8 because my drummer thinks they are hilarious. |
I've always pretended emo violence was a real genre. I've fit hella bands into this category. In/Humanity, Guyana Punch Line, Swing Kids, Neil Perry, Great Redneck Hope, etc. All emo violence to me, beause now, it IS a genre.
bands that kick ***....
Pig Destroyer, Through The Eyes Of The Dead, Animosity, Behemoth, Aborted, Killwhitneydead, Ed Gein, Deicide, Cattle Decapiation, this list could be 20 pages long if i really tried....

What exactly is emo violence though? It makes no sense.
Pig Destroyer, Through The Eyes Of The Dead, Animosity, Behemoth, Aborted, Killwhitneydead, Ed Gein, Deicide, Cattle Decapiation, this list could be 20 pages long if i really tried....
Check the list in the first post. |
Emo violence was a joke by In/Humanity about the genres that made no sense to them at the time shit like emocore (not the proper name but it was being used) and power violence. So they put them together and hence we have emo violence. Joke.

Isn't Dropdead Power Violence? They should be on that list, they're awesome.
Take Head Wound City of that list right now.
Circle of Dead Children is missing from that first list.
Dropdead are awesome.
Anyone like Despised Icon? I heard them for the first time a couple days ago, and I liked 'em.
My friend is really into Despised Icon. I'm not into them at all, though.
Never really heard Despised Icon.
They're metalcore kinda stuff.
More news on Doves Lie Dead: I've been talking to the guy who runs Destructure Records, outta France. They've released some stuff for Wolfbrigade and Coliseum, and we've been talking about maybe releasing a record with them since Loderbrock hasn't said anything back to us in awhile. |
Awesome :thumb:
Nice.
Can't say I'm a huge fan of metalcore really, but I'll give them a listen.
Awesome news on getting with destructure, hopefully it will work ou well, if it does I'll be interested in buying a 7" or 12" or whatever you release. |
At this point, I'm thinkin' it'll be a 7".
And thanks. |
I would buy one.
I'd buy one too.
I would illegally download it from the first person who got an mp3 version.
Way to support his band.
I don't have a record player, and don't plan on buying one.
Hater.
Music isn't about making money. It's about having your voice heard, and expressing your ideas. Fans and support are more important than how much you're pulling in.
Duh. |
did you just tell me what music was about?
BTW I agree with you (lol) |
Music is also about supporting your scene.
Music is about ANARCHY.

The R.A.M.B.O. song Sophomore Effort is so confusing. It starts out sounding like it's going to be a pop-punk song and then the vocals come in, then it goes back to pop-punk.
