What kind of music are they?
Go there, they're on our top 8 because my drummer thinks they are hilarious.

Subvert_bassist 03-09-2006 10:01 PM

I've always pretended emo violence was a real genre. I've fit hella bands into this category. In/Humanity, Guyana Punch Line, Swing Kids, Neil Perry, Great Redneck Hope, etc. All emo violence to me, beause now, it IS a genre.

The Feeding 03-10-2006 12:03 PM

bands that kick ***....

Pig Destroyer, Through The Eyes Of The Dead, Animosity, Behemoth, Aborted, Killwhitneydead, Ed Gein, Deicide, Cattle Decapiation, this list could be 20 pages long if i really tried....

What exactly is emo violence though? It makes no sense.

Check the list in the first post.

Emo violence was a joke by In/Humanity about the genres that made no sense to them at the time shit like emocore (not the proper name but it was being used) and power violence. So they put them together and hence we have emo violence. Joke.

Fritz Plays Bass 03-10-2006 04:02 PM

Isn't Dropdead Power Violence? They should be on that list, they're awesome.

cbmartinez 03-10-2006 04:19 PM

Take Head Wound City of that list right now.

conniption 03-10-2006 04:52 PM

Circle of Dead Children is missing from that first list.

AIRIC 03-10-2006 04:54 PM

Dropdead are awesome.

Subvert_bassist 03-10-2006 09:38 PM

Anyone like Despised Icon? I heard them for the first time a couple days ago, and I liked 'em.

Times Ten 03-10-2006 09:43 PM

My friend is really into Despised Icon. I'm not into them at all, though.

Fritz Plays Bass 03-10-2006 10:35 PM

Never really heard Despised Icon.

Subvert_bassist 03-11-2006 10:06 AM

They're metalcore kinda stuff.

More news on Doves Lie Dead: I've been talking to the guy who runs Destructure Records, outta France. They've released some stuff for Wolfbrigade and Coliseum, and we've been talking about maybe releasing a record with them since Loderbrock hasn't said anything back to us in awhile.

whiteminority 03-11-2006 10:26 AM

Awesome :thumb:

AIRIC 03-11-2006 11:05 AM

Nice.

Fritz Plays Bass 03-11-2006 11:46 AM

Can't say I'm a huge fan of metalcore really, but I'll give them a listen.

Awesome news on getting with destructure, hopefully it will work ou well, if it does I'll be interested in buying a 7" or 12" or whatever you release.

Subvert_bassist 03-12-2006 01:01 AM

At this point, I'm thinkin' it'll be a 7".

And thanks.

whiteminority 03-12-2006 01:14 AM

I would buy one.

RetiredAt21 03-12-2006 08:21 AM

I'd buy one too.

Liebensaft 03-12-2006 09:21 AM

I would illegally download it from the first person who got an mp3 version.

DaveToopes 03-12-2006 10:26 AM

Way to support his band.

Liebensaft 03-12-2006 10:48 AM

I don't have a record player, and don't plan on buying one.

DaveToopes 03-12-2006 11:03 AM

Hater.

Liebensaft 03-12-2006 11:06 AM

Music isn't about making money. It's about having your voice heard, and expressing your ideas. Fans and support are more important than how much you're pulling in.

Duh.

DaveToopes 03-12-2006 11:12 AM

did you just tell me what music was about?

BTW I agree with you (lol)

AIRIC 03-12-2006 11:15 AM

Music is also about supporting your scene.

Liebensaft 03-12-2006 11:20 AM

Music is about ANARCHY.

AIRIC 03-12-2006 11:23 AM

The R.A.M.B.O. song Sophomore Effort is so confusing. It starts out sounding like it's going to be a pop-punk song and then the vocals come in, then it goes back to pop-punk.

R.A.M.B.O. > your opinion

DaveToopes 03-12-2006 12:16 PM
