Brian you are going to see TAI and Panic! on my birthday have a good time!
I want to go to that Armor for Sleep tour but I doubt I will.

I also want to congratulate you on being the coolest person and going to so many concerts haha.

Mute Print 12-19-2005 07:43 PM

It should be a great show. The Academy Is... is such an awesome band.

DepthsOfDreams555 12-19-2005 07:52 PM

What is up with that I Can Make a Mess Like Nobody's Business show you are going to. I really like his music but is it just them playing and no one else?

Pazz 12-19-2005 07:53 PM

I don't think I'm going to any shows any time soon. I should see when The Academy is.. passes through. Tickets are probably already sold out.

Two other bands (?) are playing, but I've never heard of them:

Owen
B.C. Camplight

Pazz 12-19-2005 08:01 PM

I just found out The Academy Is... is coming to Toronto and playing at the Opera House on Fenruary 2! Oh how I want to go now. That's right when exams are finished too. Now only if I could get there.

O well ICMAMLNB will be really good.

Pazz 12-19-2005 08:52 PM

So my dream has crashed and burned.

DepthsOfDreams555 01-05-2006 11:32 AM

My The Acadmey Is... show sold out on Saturday and Sunday so now I am looking for another show.

http://www.wiservice.co.uk
Yeah man Wiservice are cool, I am thinking of going to see them again when they play Wedge soonish, but I'm not sure I'd like the kind of bands they're playing with  seeing as I'm more kinda interested in the dub side of stuff

Converge 01-05-2006 03:52 PM

I SAWLL FALL OF TROY.
Last friday.
It was amazing.

Mute Print 01-05-2006 03:54 PM

Fall of Troy are awesome live. I'm seeing them for the third time in February.

HomeCatMickey8 01-05-2006 04:00 PM

/wants to see Circle Takes the Square again.

DepthsOfDreams555 01-05-2006 04:01 PM

My plan for Spring Break is to see a concert every night...how sick would that be?

Mute Print 01-05-2006 04:03 PM

Haha, I'd love to do that.

Hopefully I'll get to more shows this year than I did last year. Out of my 56 or whatever shows, 50 of them were after June 1st.

HomeCatMickey8 01-05-2006 04:04 PM
My plan for Spring Break is to see a concert every night...how sick would that be?
Sicker than a poodle.

I'll be in Florida during spring break, but I want to find a venue in the area and go see a local show. I'm cool with going to shows alone without knowing any bands. I'm gonna try to find a venue in that are. /gets on google.

DepthsOfDreams555 01-05-2006 04:04 PM

Well see I get my license March 3rd and then from then on its just a money issue.

Thatd be a good idea.

udy 01-05-2006 05:40 PM

Jas- what is it about the other bands that is preventing you from coming?
The night is actually run by myself and the UYN team and will be a nice little mix-up. The only other band playing are Cooly Haste, personally selected by Wiservice and they have a true groove to their tunes.... The rest is DJs through to 2 to give people a full night.

Have you downloaded stuff by them?
Would be great if you could come down as it's our first full night at the Wedge and all Wiservice will greatly appreciate the support!

Drop The Baby 01-06-2006 07:03 AM

Lagwagon- January 5th, Mean Fiddler, London

Captain everything- One of the best English bands around without a doubt. Funny, fast and with an excellent arsenal of songs they ensured everyone had a good time.
8/10

A Wilhelm Scream- I was quite disppointed with them to be honest. They sounded quite tight but suffered a little from a lack of energy i felt and they was just a little edge missing from their performance, possibly because i believe it was the first night of their tour.
6/10

Lagwagon- F'ucking brilliant. This was the first time i'd seen them and they did not disappoint from start to finish. They opened with two of their best songs, the first two from latest release Resolve, Heartbreaking Music and Automatic. Their pace and energy was superb and their guitar riffs were executed very very well. Joey Cape was an excellent front man, and held it all together. I had a great time.
9/10

I also got into the pub at 11:00am and was really really wasted by the end of the night.

Haha, that sucks. I've seen them three times, and every time they've been awesome. They usually have a ton of energy.

poprocks&coke 01-06-2006 02:58 PM

I'm keeping out of moshpits when I go to gigs now. Last time I got rammed in the side of my head and I swear I got concussion.

Anyway, the last major band I saw were the Alkaline Trio and they were amazing imo. I might be a bit biased because I worship the ground they walk on, but hey. I'm going to see TBS at the end of this month, are they any good live (I can't remember them from Milton Keynes... I can't remember very much of MK at all...) ?

Mute Print 01-06-2006 03:05 PM

I've seen Taking Back Sunday a couple times, and they were pretty good. Not amazing, but I enjoyed them. I've never seen them headline though.

DepthsOfDreams555 01-06-2006 03:48 PM

Ooo man I want to see Taking Back Sunday sooo bad. That is on the agenda for this summer.

I dunno it said something about hip-hop? Haha, I can't even remember now. I might come down, if I am down that weekend. I have never heard the other band, or the DJs that are playing, but I saw Wiservice with Mighty Snortin Powder Rangers back in August, and I was impressed. It does sound like a cool night, I will make it if I can.

**** that would have been a good gig to go to. I saw captain everything with no comply last month and they were fückin' awesome... as funny as nofx live without a doubt.

DepthsOfDreams555 01-09-2006 07:31 PM

The Forecast are playing with Just Surrender and Between Home and Serenity in Chicago for 8 bucks on Wednesday...bummer I can't go.

Mute Print 01-09-2006 07:34 PM

That sucks. It sounds like a great show.

I just found out that Fall Out Boy, All American Rejects, Hawthorne Heights, and From First To Last are playing here in April. It's gonna rule, but it's going to be expensive.

DepthsOfDreams555 01-09-2006 07:38 PM

Wow thats a good show....I might have to go to that. I always say that but I never end up going.

Mute Print 01-09-2006 07:39 PM

It should be a lot of fun, but it's an arena tour, so it's bound to be pretty expensive.

Pazz 01-09-2006 07:49 PM

I should look into that. I listen to 3 of those bands.

DepthsOfDreams555 01-09-2006 07:51 PM

I don't like the All American Rejects like at all but I like all the other bands a lot.

Drop The Baby 01-10-2006 06:28 AM
I don't like the All American Rejects like at all but I like all the other bands a lot.
I just realized I only listen to two of those. Must have been an error or I wasn't thinking straight.

DepthsOfDreams555 01-13-2006 03:33 PM

I just ordered tickets today to see The Academy Is..., Acceptance, Hellogoodbye, and Panic! at the Disco

Firecracker 01-13-2006 03:35 PM

I'm seeing these bands soon:

Reel Big Fish & Zebrahead in Frome
Stiff Little Fingers in Bristol

plaidbassbilly 01-13-2006 07:32 PM

I'm seeing Yellowcard in March and I'm probably going to Pushover Festival.

Gnarmageddon 01-13-2006 09:18 PM

I almost went to see a Kris Roe acoustic set tonight, but I decided not to since I only have $15 and it was $9 to get in. The first two bands that were playing suck a lot too.

ZaaR 01-13-2006 09:23 PM

I'm going to a show tomorrow night: http://www.purevolume.com/blacktopmanhattan

My brother is the bassist

Brian: How in hell do you get all the money to see 56 concerts in a year? I think I might have gone to 15 or 20 IF I'm lucky, and that includes local shows.

Mute Print 01-13-2006 10:34 PM

My parents help out by paying for a few of the more expensive shows, and then I use all my money from my birthday and Christmas on shows.
