I like this thread. I play in a thrash band now, apparently. Or will be soon.

There's a huge show at the end of this month here; Municiple Waste, Coliseum, Lords, Doomriders, Black Spoon Brigade, and locals. I've never heard of the last two, but I'm definatley going. Anybody know anything about these bands?

I know about Municipal Waste. They're great. I'm actually listening to them now. But not of the other too, possibly J does.

Anyways, I was at downtown San Diego yesterday, and I saw a bunch of flyers, one said that Toxic Holocaust was coming, but it's a damn 18 and up show. Pissed me off.

I don't know Lords or Black Spoon Brigade, but how could you not know Doomriders!? They're only like one of the best recent hardcore bands. The Waste is a for sure good deal, as is Coliseum and Doomriders. Which reminds me, Coliseum and Doomriders did a split where they just covered Danzig songs if i recall, haha.

What kind of thrash is the band?

Alright, I'll check out Doomriders.

If you mean my new band, then I'm not sure yet. We don't have a completed song yet, but so far it sounds pretty good. There's definatley a lot of thrash influence, but there also seems to be a lot of indie influence. It sounds weird, but I think it's good. And we're probably moving more towards hardcore/thrash. I'm not a huge fan of metal.

Indie and thrash? I wanna hear this real bad.

It'll be a while. We aren't quite a full band yet. The guitarist is pretty insane. It's hard to describe, because he has a pretty unique playing style. I don't think I've ever seen him use powerchords.

I used to not be a big fan of Anthrax, but ever since I gave Persistance of Time a third listen, they clicked. They're great.

hahahahaha, PC Deathsquad is awesome. I disagree with almost everything John believes in minus straight edge, but he's still a cool dude. Have you watched the video for their song, "Fu[COLOR="White"]c[/COLOR]k Metallica"? It's awesome.

One of my favorite thrash metal albums. Indians is such a good song, I didn't realize how good it was until recently.

I need to start paying attention to the SD scene if there's bands like these guys. It just seems plagued by generic As I Lay Dying type bands. :/ I'll definetly see PC Deathsquad when I get a chance.

Well the story just switches as the owner of the store sells the place and it becomes a Mooby's from what I know. Should still rule if they use stuff like this for the soundtrack.

It is Jason Mewes. Making a sequel wouldn't have ever been brought up if it wasn't for him because he wanted to do one, but no one else really did. He than got hooked on heroin and Kevin Smith made deal with him being that if he got off the H that he would make a sequel. So there we have it. A SEQUEL!

NP: Wehrmacht - Blow You Away

If Jason wasn't in it, I wouldn't bother seeing it. He's one of my favorite characters, no matter what he does i'm always laughing.

Word. He's awesome, but I prefer Brody. I also love the fact that Jay moshes in almost all the movies he's come out in.

haha, I love Razorback. Such an awesome label, but they don't put out too much thrash as it's mostly death/grind/gore stuff, but I still love it!

I wanted to try going to their fest, Hogwild Howls, in June, but I doubt I'm gonna be able to make it.

That video was pretty sweet.

I got Cryptic Slaughter's Money Talks, it's awesomely great. And soon off of the R&M mailinglist I'm going to get Wehrmacht's Biermacht.
