I have seen an interview on television before featuring Audiovent. I do recall one of the fellas saying that he was the brother of Brandon Boyd.

I Am a Hat 03-25-2005 09:41 AM

Mike's brother is in it too.
Having the DB headquarters on Melrose Ave, Hollywood... we've seen everyone from Paris Hilton to Dilated Peoples to Keilani Lei... DJ Killmore (from the Jedi Knights and Incubus) has been spotted skratchin' and rocking doubles of the new Good Fortune Sound recently. He just informed us of a new MIX CD coming out before Summer 2005. It its rumored that he has asked N8LOC for a drop for his mix.
Nice. Kilmore is doing a side project it seems. I've wanted to hear something like this for a while.

Deth 03-25-2005 11:04 AM

I've never really cared for side projects too much.

Sleeper 03-25-2005 03:23 PM

I havent heard anything from Audiovent.

Iai 03-26-2005 05:19 AM

Audiovent redefine the word 'average'.

Sleeper 03-26-2005 12:03 PM

Any songs i should check out by them?

Janitor 03-26-2005 12:11 PM

The Energy seems to be their best song and it's not really all that good. But they've broken up and some of them started a new band, whose name I can't remember.

Sleeper 03-26-2005 12:34 PM

I just checked out some of there songs, There not that great. I can completely agree with the sound being 'average'.

Nirvana34534 03-26-2005 01:40 PM

FishSauce 03-26-2005 02:16 PM

So whats happening with Incubus? Are they gonna come out with a new album anytime soon?

/dosn't want to read the whole thread.

Janitor 03-26-2005 02:16 PM

Yeah.

They're writing the score for a movie called Stealth. Then they're writing music for a surfing movie, I think it's a documentary. An album will most likely be out in mid-2006.

maggot4875 03-26-2005 02:18 PM

i hate incubus, espeically the singers voice

Janitor 03-26-2005 02:21 PM

Well, that's tremendous. Am I correct in assuming you're almost completely judging them off of a few songs?

Sleeper 03-26-2005 02:23 PM

For somone having almost a 1000 posts, you should know that your post was retarded.

guitarsuperstar 03-26-2005 02:34 PM

well put janitor, incubus to many casual fans are very unappreciated and overlooked, the musical talent of the band cannot be judge by a few singles, but rather in their creativity and ability to stay innovative in on every album. Although people complain that A crow left of the murder isn't as good as make yourself, or morningview sucks compared to S.C.I.E.N.C.E. have to take into consideration is what makes incubus good is there ability to progess and evolve in their music. And as for the departure of dirk lance, it was time. I love dirk lance's work on the early stuff like fungus amongus and S.C.I.E.N.C.E. but his funky style didn't not fit the new highly jazz infused style incubus is headed. Ben Kinney fits the mold much better, and as for people saying that Ben Kinney sucks how about looking at his work with the roots, his solo project, and his work with Time lapse Contorium (incubus side project) he is a far more versatile musician. Everyone is entilted to his or her own opinion without it being bashed, but just make sure your arguent is explained or else it will not be taking seriously and you will come off looking stupid.

Alright, who's the famous female rock singer going to be then? Hopes are it's not Courtney Love.
two really good songs are Drive and Megalomaniac
so true. they're the first 2 i heard of them. Mostly i enjoy the fact that they think outside the box and invent songs I havent heard anything like, which there is a serious lack of in music these days on the rock scene.

Deth 03-28-2005 03:36 PM

I don't like Drive that much, it's just kind of generic to me.

Megalomanic rules though. :)

I performed drive with some freinds at a talent show, It is a such a genric song. My least favorite Incubus song by far.

Sleeper 03-28-2005 09:26 PM

Alot of the songs on Make Yourself got them really popular. Stellar and Pardon me or basic songs in a way, But there very catchy.
