well he likes Opeth and Death, but he's never heard of like any black metal whatsoever.
Well I would hardly call that questionable. Maybe ignorant or naive or whatever, but not questionable.

I mean, I know pretty much jack squat about black metal, but that's because I don't really care.
Dream Quest rule more than all of these? Know why? Cause half their Gospel is Jesus related, the other half is metal.

Plus their first album is their only preachy one (and it's campy as ****).

I like Underoath, too, and Maylene is decent. DivineFire is okay too I guess.
I agree with Dream Quest. I also like DivineFire, and Saviour Machine is pretty good.

Haha. You inspired me!

The best thing ever was introducing ourselves as a Christian band and then playing a song about necrophilia (I'M MAD ORIGINAL).

Anyways, Come Now Sleep is coming out mad soon, I'm psyched.

Jude 08-06-2007 05:12 PM

Wait, so now not knowing about black metal makes your taste questionable?

You're the first person ive found that has heard of them. I picked up their cd at random at the record and tape traders up here in maryland and its got a lot of cool stuff on it.

And of that scene I also like BTBAM, Hopesfall and Glass Casket.
The production on their latest CD, Dying Vine, is much better, by the way.
And they're going to be re-releasing soon too, I believe sometime in Fall. I think it's all the same tracks, remastered and with a few additional stuff. They haven't said much yet about it.

The first album they released as Aletheian has pretty decent production too though.

Aletheian and BTA are the main christian metal bands I like. Extol's older stuff is ok too, but I get tired of it after a while.

I listened to that Aletheian song and it wasn't bad. I could make a better judgement if I had a whole album though :)

Sponer 08-08-2007 09:04 PM

I've got all three, and the DVD. Which do you want? :p
