Thats some terrible grip.

Drum Phil 03-15-2007 09:30 AM

Probably.

Works fine for me. No injuries, no pains.

Snarz 03-15-2007 09:49 AM
Welcome to the DP section.
I have yet to watch your vid, I will though.

Did you see the part where he like cut out the shark jaw?
Yupp...I thought that was pretty sweet.

the_pure_drummer 03-15-2007 09:50 AM

Hey guys.

Bust my ankle today in gym :(

Its my right one aswel.

Drum Phil 03-15-2007 09:50 AM

Learn to use your left foot.

It'll be good for you.

the_pure_drummer 03-15-2007 09:51 AM

I really dont want to change my setup around though.

The swelling on my foot will have probably gone down by tommorow afternoon.

Snarz 03-15-2007 09:52 AM

Yupp it sure will. I would...Change your whole kit around to play a left handed kit maybe?

Drum Phil 03-15-2007 09:54 AM

Thats what i'd do

Snarz 03-15-2007 09:56 AM

I can play both right and left handed kits now. Becasue that happened to me.

the_pure_drummer 03-15-2007 09:58 AM

Its not to bad...

I landed it awkwardly of a somersault and its swollen hurts to walk on alot mind.

Dave*Grohl 03-15-2007 10:15 AM

Why do my drums sound so much different when Im wearing isolation headphones compared to when Im wearing "ear" earplugs?

With the iso's my drums sound really nice and awesome and boomy low and everything but without iso's they dont have the boomyness or the lowness? you guys know what I mean right!

And it's not just with my drums, it's with every kit Ive heard.

When recording and the drum is all miced up, will it capture the nice lows and boomyness what you hear with isolation headphones on or will it not?!

Dave*Grohl 03-15-2007 10:16 AM

Oh, crap.
I think I just got my very much good buddy in massive trouble with his ex-girlfriend.
He was one of the ones who came to visit Sunday~Wednesday, one of the ones in some of my new myspace pictures..
But I'm not sure she knew he was coming here.
Because now her MSN is all "[her name] - [his name] is an asshole so now..." and the rest is not important.
But I think it's 'cause she saw the pictures.
But he never said anything about not putting them up.
Crap =(

Snarz 03-15-2007 10:21 AM

that sucks.

Unlucky eva. Not much you can do so dont beat yourself up.

Sunshine 03-15-2007 10:24 AM

Awww, kittycat <3

Yeah..
And she's not pissy at me, which makes me wonder if he did something ELSE..
Ah well.
Things will work out.
I don't know that he knows she's pissy, he being on his road-trip and all..I'm not sure if she texted/called him or not.

Drum Phil 03-15-2007 10:29 AM

Thats mutant freak cat to you :p

Jezen 03-15-2007 11:17 AM

Obviously changing what you protect your ears with is not going to affect the sound of your drums to the mics..

the_pure_drummer 03-15-2007 11:21 AM

I love the sound of my drums with my iso's on.

ebe9 03-15-2007 11:24 AM

So I see for the most part people will overcome adversity and adapt.

As for the Title, and the people complaining about that, it is only for this installment.

Basic premise is that a new one gets opened every +-5000 posts and has a new name, but keeping the "Drum Stronghold" in the title.

E.g. DS Pertacular

Dave*Grohl 03-15-2007 11:24 AM

Me too.

Dont love the sound so much without them to:D

oliv_da_skinmasher 03-15-2007 11:24 AM

It only sounds different to you. I found with my iso's everything becomes that little bit clearer.

Pleaseme 03-15-2007 11:27 AM

First post in the new hold. Werd. I miss my drums so much it hurts. I can't even work properly because of the distraction.

Little Android Man 03-15-2007 11:29 AM

Break or sprain?

Dave*Grohl 03-15-2007 11:38 AM

Compressor=It can also bring out the very deep bottom end of a kick drum or floor tom to very un-natural levels.

Holy yes. My drums are gonna sound nice in the studio
Sup led.....

I pulled a muscle in my neck/shoulder today in the gym :(
Nothing major though, but meant I had to cut the session off early.

Little Android Man 03-15-2007 11:39 AM
