It should be. There should be a link for once you sign up and it should take you to a screen with basic rules and such and then a quiz and if you fail you get like a max # of posts until you get a %100

oh and it should be like 2 posts.

I know Im younger then all you guys but Im not at all anxious to drive..Besides the bus isn't an anoyance because my mom drives from home to school and school to home.

Shadows 11-30-2005 06:05 PM

Considering how close I am to my school, driving myself given the current price of petrol would be economically stupid. It's 10 minutes by car not including the insane stop and go traffic in the mornings. I get a free bus pass through my school anyway, so I might as well enjoy the free transportation by bus and by friends who prefer to waste their gas on me.
That has been seriously suggested before.
Really? By who? And why was it not implimented?

Various people. Not implemented because it's be fiddly, for a start, and has the potential for turning away good users as much as bad, amongst other things.

What should be the IQ the n00bs need to have in order to post?

My parents are paying half of the gas i use, but the other half will be payed by me and if i dont have work im not going to be able to drive too much. I gues I have to get a job by then.

Same. I'm going to get a parking pass because there enough days where I'd really like a car like if I need to stay after or something instead of waiting for other public transportation that isn't free. But yes, I'd rather have other people pay for my transportation as much as I like driving.

Yes, that's the advantage to it. See if I had read the rules before my first thread people wouldn't have hated me for it :thumb:

Next year I'll most likelt end up driving myself everywhere, and buying a costly parking pass because of it. As much as I enjoy not paying for things, there are too many instances where I've been stranded at school or stuck waiting there for a very long time. I'm of age so I might as well take advantage of it.

The users we have now are pretty good. There's no point in risking the current state by letting anyone in. I say make them take a test.

It's not too expensive here. $25 I think. That's not too awful. I'd rather not bank on other people for rides, especially since it's never gone well.

Agreed, but we do get good n00bs.

Dr. Jake Destructo 11-30-2005 06:18 PM

I live so far out in the boonies that my school doesn't even provide transportation for me. :upset:

I'd rather drive myself or ride with my mom anyways, though.

Over here it's $85. :( Damn my over-crowded school.

Good n00bs are rare. Granted, we were all n00bs at one point, but ever since I joined they all seem to be incompitent and annoying.

Wow, for a year? It's $25 a semester here. We're overcrowded but it's a smallish school with plenty of parking. I play Ice Hockey and have a job so I also have reasons for the parking pass people to give me one

Yes, good n00bs are very rare.

Dr. Jake Destructo 11-30-2005 06:23 PM

We're getting parking passes at my school starting next January. They're only going to cost $5, and we'll be able to get 2 passes just in case we drive two cars. They're going to have seperate passes for drivers with restricted licenses too, which is a wicked awesome idea. Plus, to purchase a pass, you need proof of license and insurance, so it will keep a lot of idiots out of the parking lot.

I'm all for it, especially at such a cheap price.

Ja, $85 for a year. They're extremely hard to get too, as people basically order them months in advance. I might as well be one of the cheap lazy people who parks on the baseball field next to the school for free.

That is a great idea. I don't think they use stickers at my school. I think they're just tags but I'm not sure. I think they should check license and stuff at my school. They just want your name and tag numbers and graduation year (senior/important reason priority, then juniors then sophmores if they drive)

There's a neighborhood about 2 minutes walking away from my school and some people park there. So it's $50 a year here then to compare to yours.

Well you're free to suggest it, but I won't. I don't think it's too great an idea, and I'm fairly sure it wouldn't happen anyway.

Poor Americans. I have to walk just around the corner and I have several trams and buses I can choose.

Shadows 11-30-2005 06:36 PM

American public transportation is so inferior compared to the user-friendly European luxury rided. :( I'll be waiting outside my school for an hour on Friday because we get out early.

I figured it wouldn't happen, I was just thinking that it would be an amusing thing to try out.

Any one good at 10th grade math, I just moved up from 2 to 2H which is faster and I'm now 2-3 chapters behind my class and I have to catch up but I don't understand it already, the problem is this:

Marty wants to buy a round rug that covers 60% of his 12 ft by 15 ft dining room floor. To the nearest tenth of a foot, waht is the radius of the rug?

Help would be sweet, and if this is spam could someone hit me up on AIM with help/answer :P

Do the area formula (A=(L)(W)). With your answer, multiply it by .6 (60% converted). That should give you the answer.

/Be aware, I havent has to do that for awhile now, but Im sure thats the way to do it.

Jom 11-30-2005 07:05 PM

Jacaran: is the rug circular, or shaped like an oval? "Round" is too vague a term when you get up to higher maths :'(

Shadows 11-30-2005 07:08 PM

An oval shape would be a little complex for 10th grade math. Assume it's circular.

I think I helped with it. We haven't done stuff like that in my math class for several years. We're too busy focusing on the insane stuff I don't understand. :(

Jacaran 11-30-2005 07:09 PM

I got it thanks to ShadowsFallen.

Ugh, math I hate it I'm really sorry that I switched out of my other class but I know it looks good on the application for collage. I'm now about a month behind the rest of the class with a test in 1 week. I had a 96% in my other class too. :(
