Andrew I really liked it. It really reminded me of Blood Brothers, even though I can't really stand them anymore, I liked the similarites.

Psychobilly recommendation
I'm sorry if there's an official recommendation thread in the punk forum, I searched and didn't find one. I'm sorry if this is a taboo subject here that recieves nothing but flames, I'm not a punk regular, I wouldn't know.
That said, what is the best/most standout psychobilly album in your opinion. I feel like getting one or 2 for christmas. So far, all I have in the genre is the first 2 Tiger Army CDs (and I have a feeling these aren't exactly considered deep into the genre). Thanks for any help. |
Phenomanauts.
Either of their albums (Rockets & Robots or Re-Entry) are amazing pieces of work. |

The Cramps or the Pits. Those are my favorites.
That said, what is the best/most standout psychobilly album in your opinion. Blah blah blah.
Thanks for any help.
If you want mad cred, and good primer into psychobilly, try the Meteors, they're probably the first proper psycho band. As far as albums go, try for Wreckin' Crew. Other good bands to introduce you are Demented Are Go, Three Bad Jacks, the Quakes, Nekromantix, etc. And for some genre clarification: The Cramps are a good proto-psycho band, but don't be expecting the revved-up sound you may be accustomed to. The Reverend Horton Heat isn't true psycho either, but rather just punkabilly, and the Phenomenauts are basically just rockabilly, maybe punkabilly. |
Ok. This is my first post so no one shoot me.
I reccomend- The D4. They're a New Zealand band that's been around for a while but just undergone a major revamp. I saw them last night when they were support at the Foo Fighters concert. But then again they're not really punk. |
you're supposed to recommend bands to people who ask for recommendations really. That's why it says "personally".
