Get Up Kids - On A Wire

14/10
Although it's a good album, I would say Something to Write Home About get's the 14... On A Wire gets like a 11.3. I perfer Four Minute Mile, but they weren't as mature musically so it wasn't as good in that sense.

Gnarmageddon 01-01-2006 10:03 PM

I need to get that one.

Mute Print 01-01-2006 10:05 PM

Something To Write Home About is brilliant.

B 01-01-2006 10:07 PM

Four Minute Mile is sex.

Hearing songs from it live on their live cd is awesome.

The Get Up Kids just rule.

HomeCatMickey8 01-01-2006 10:17 PM

The Get Up Kids are quite possibly my favorite band. Too bad they split up.

guitarded27 01-01-2006 10:25 PM

taking back sunday - tell all your friends
blink-182 - dude ranch
the offspring - smash
the clash - london calling

and others that arent pop-punk:
van halen - van halen 1
def leppard - rock of ages: the definitive collection (i dont usually like greatest hits but this one jsut rocks)
nirvana - nevermind

BlindWriting 01-01-2006 10:27 PM

Brand New – Deja Entendu.

FungusAmngus870 01-01-2006 10:54 PM

Saves the Day - Stay What You Are

CommieCanada 01-01-2006 11:14 PM

Copeland - Beneath the Medicine Tree

god that album is just so good

Walker 01-02-2006 04:52 AM

While Brand New "Deja Entendu" is definately an excellent album id have to say that "Your Favourite Weapon" is definately better...

other then that:
NFG: Catalyst
Yellowcard: Ocean Avenue
Fall out boy: Take this to your grave
Taking Back Sunday: Tell all your friends

Is Dashboard Confessional "pop punk"?? Cos "A Mark, a mission, a brand a scar" and "The places you have come to fear the most" are awesome..

Angry Balled Fists! 01-02-2006 05:27 AM

hahahhaha, nice bump

I have to add:

Converge - You fail me/petitioning the empty sky
Dead Kennedys - FFRRV/In god we trust inc
Against Me! - Reinventing Axl Rose/As the eternal cowboy

comptonasseddy 01-02-2006 03:34 PM

I have to say saves the day "through being cool" and further seems forever's "how to start a fire" great albums i think.

TMA 01-02-2006 04:56 PM

This Day And Age - Always Leave The Ground

billiejoe84 01-02-2006 08:54 PM

To go on with the bump/adds, I will have to say Bad Religion - No Control. Some of the songs on that album are damn near perfect.

CommieCanada 01-02-2006 09:14 PM

Thursday - Full Collapse

Thursday - War All the Time

Nightvision 01-02-2006 09:17 PM
New Found Glory "Sticks And Stones"
10/10? I'm all for opinions and all, but... are you sure?!

cbmartinez 01-02-2006 09:17 PM

I knew you were going to post that the second I saw that you had posted in this thread. Full Collapse is one of the best and most genre defining albums of the last 10 years. It's not really pop-punk though.

Yeah Sound Shattering Sound is good thats for sure

HomeCatMickey8 01-03-2006 11:16 AM

After a few listens, Cursive-The Ugly Organ is up there. Not quite a 10, but at least a 9.5.

B 01-03-2006 11:45 AM

I have Domestica, how does it compare to The Ugly Organ?

HomeCatMickey8 01-03-2006 11:48 AM

I don't have Domestica, yet. (I can't find it except for on the internet) It's probably a lot different, though. They have a cello in it.
