Everyday Sunday
Last night I went to see Everyday Sunday at a local church and it was a free show all you had to do was bring like a bar of soap for a charity donation. I saw MuteMath in this same building in the same room and they were really good and they actually packed the room and there was a pretty decent pit with a lot of good energy. Now when Everyday Sunday took the stage there was maybe 100 people in the entire room and this is a pretty big room. Now they tried to have a lot of energy on stage but there was like 15 people into the music. On top of that the music really wasn't very good. They played some new music off their new CD and the lead singer was screaming and it was complete garbage. The funny thing was everyone in the pit had at least like 3 feet from eachother and they were just jumping up and down cause they said no moshing cause the stage was too close to the crowd. So it pretty much stunk, I went in close to the stage for like 2 minutes of one song and I was like second row (wasn't very hard to get there) and there were like 5 black girls standing in the front just kind of clapping I was like wtf. So I just hung out with a couple of my friends and I hung out with the band a lil after the show met them and stuff cause there was like no one there. We were flicking cards and messing around. So w.e it was free. |

Taste Of Chaos UK 2005
The night began very crappy when our car broke down in Doncaster, and we had to wait for a tow truck to pick it up. It was a little bit cooler that we arrived at the Dome in the truck, but that's not important. We also arrived late, pissing me off since Reggie And The Full Effect had already began to play when we were lining up. Inside, the first song I heard from them was "Congratulations Smack & Katy". The energy was awesome, and it appeared that for once James wasn't drunk. He played 4 more songs I think, capping the set off with "The Trooth", a real free-for-all in the pit. After this, Rise Against took the stage (I think). They were again really good, but ruined by an incredibly short set of about 6 songs. Still, they played a lot of stuff off their older albums, which I really liked, and for some reason didn't play much off their latest album. I suppose being on tour with the "trendy" bands has made them look at themselves a little more. Story Of The Year were, surprisingly, one of the best bands of the night. Even with their generic material, they put on one hell of a show. From the bassist chasing the drummer around the stage, to them all at one point wearing a horse mask. One of the guitarists got a guitar threw across the stage for him, and the bassist capped it off by stagediving from the speakers. Oh, and they played some good songs too. Killswitch Engage were good, considering I'm not much of a fan of them. Bert from The Used came out and sang with them for "The End Of Heartaches", which was cool since I only just heard that song in the car. I was slightly pissed off that Bleed The Dream played the side stage, and I didn't even know until the second to last song. So I enjoyed watching them while The Used were setting up. The Used were awesome, which again was weird for me since I'm not into them. Even though the guitarist's guitar sounded out of tune, they played some of the classics like "The Taste Of Ink" and "Take It Away". Oh, and in the last song (They said it's the first they wrong, anyone?), they did a little rendition of Refused's "New Noise", with the intro, second verse and bridge of it. Yeah, that was cool. Shame the quality of it on my phone sounds so bad. Finally it was Funeral For A Friend, a band I'd seen 4 months prior to now. They opened up with "The End Of Nothing", and played more stuff off their two albums. For some reason, "The Art Of American Football" and "Monsters", two of my favourite FFAF songs, weren't played. Either way, watching Matt fall over one of the boxes at the front of the stage was a great laugh as well. All in all, it was a crappy night turned decent, with some good performances, especially from SOTY. |
Sounds like a sweet concert Kif even though it sucks about your car.

Is anybody seeing Turbonegro at the Camden Koko? Juliette and The Licks are supporting. Its gonna be awesome and its on my birthday :)

For some reason local venues are starting to book shows on the same day as each other. It's too bad because I'm missing a lot of good bands. Here are some of the conflicts I have over the next couple months:
11/17 - Dropkick Murphy's / Big D and the Kids Table .... or 11/17 - Bury Your Dead / Terror 12/1 - Spitalfield / Plain White T's .... or 12/1 - Action Action / Men, Women, and Children 12/3 - As I Lay Dying / Norma Jean .... or 12/3 - June / Scary Kids Scaring Kids 12/9 - Emery / From Autumn To Ashes .... or 12/9 - Hellogoodbye .... or 12/9 - Against All Authority I'm probably going to end up seeing Bury Your Dead, Spitalfield, and As I Lay Dying because I already have tickets to those shows, and I probably wouldn't be able to get rid of the tickets if I wanted to. I'll probably go to Emery too. I hate when this kind of thing happens. I'd go to everyone of those shows if I could :( |
I would go see:
Bury Your Dead/Terror Action Action/Men, Women, and Children As I Lay Dying/Norma Jean Most likely the Emery show but I'm not sure ya I would go to the Emery show. |
i h8 u
If I could go to even one of those shows I'd be happy as hell. |
I'm guessing I'm not gunna get to go to NFT cause its next Thursday and my friend hasn't said anything to me. I might get to see Coheed again...not sure yet.
|
I might be going to the From First To Last concert on December 2 in Toronto. I still need to talk to my parents and get a couple of friends to go(except Brandon he's going to go:p).

There is information about the From First To Last concert on December 2nd. |
The first band (the drive by, or something) where pretty good, but sounded like everything else these days. Second support band, forget there name, something about dieing, anyway they was utter ****e, put me out of the mood for a gig, which i wasnt in anyway. My Chemical Romance were awesome, i thaught they was good live but i couldnt be arsed in the pit, anyway they played over an hour, which is good with the last time of 40minutes, they played a new song, that resembled "last christmas" the song, but wasnt like it, from the new album, they also did a cover of Blur-Song2 which they did surprisingly well, best song of the night. They were realy tight, gerards singing could of been better but its was no where near as bad as people make out, and they wasnt wearing stupid stab vests and stuff, they was wearing normal cool cloths, gerard had a shiny sparkly jacket on though lol.
Anyway, yes, they did good, but i couldnt be arsed with the gig and if i was in the mood i could of enjoyed it, lots x248232 (i wrote that last night, after the show, the second support band was every time i die ) |
Every Time I Die ?!
Their from around here. I saw them last month, and I liked them a lot. I'm seeing them again in December. |

Haha, I see. They seem like a bit of an odd pairing for MCR.
