Yeah I've got Donington and Stiff Upper Lip in Munich, both great DVDs. I downloaded a 1977 concert with Bon Scott singing and burnt it to a DVD, I don't know where the actual concert is and the sound isn't the greatest but it's good to watch AC/DC prior to 1980 when Bon was alive and kicking.
Wow. I did the exact same thing. :thumb:

JACKROXYOU 12-30-2004 11:20 AM

welcome

any ways yea donnington was awsome! Do the other bands have dvds for donnington(namely metallica?)

Brew 12-30-2004 12:12 PM

I think my Dad was at that Donnington show.

Not 100% sure, I know he saw AC/DC with Bon Scott though back in the 70's.

JACKROXYOU 12-30-2004 03:34 PM

bonn scott wasnt in that dvd

Brew 12-30-2004 03:36 PM

I know.

1. My old man was probably at Donnington 1991 when they played
2. My old man saw AC/DC in the 70's with Bon Scott.

Thats how my post should register in the minds of people here.

JACKROXYOU 12-30-2004 03:40 PM

good move :thumb:

comeback of the year *claps*

i find he IS overrated... but still a great guitarist.

But this isn't the right place to bash Ac/Dc.

I must say this... thunderstruck? beautiful.

panasonic youth 12-30-2004 03:55 PM

I think that they are a bit overrated but not that much. For throughout their career they've put out good music (not saying that they're horrible now) and although a lot is power chords its not completely and does show that they do have talent unlike some of the bands today . Also I think it was remarkable thatr after Bon Scott died, they were able to come out with Brian Johnson but personally I liked Bon Scott's vocals better. But they are a talented band...except on the lyrics department but thats not what their music is about. Its about having a good time, and the best AC/DC song is Whole lotta Rosie.

vincethedrummer 12-30-2004 03:57 PM

what does ac/dc stand for

GurS 12-30-2004 04:00 PM

Alternating Current/Direct Current.

also a term given to transexuals.

JACKROXYOU 12-30-2004 04:01 PM

no not again man

no descussion

ac/dc was discovered on a back of a vacuum as a way to show the electrical output

its not meant to be gay or anti christ or bisexual

just electicity

rippa32 12-30-2004 05:23 PM
Alternating Current/Direct Current.

I thought I had cleared all that crap up.

JACKROXYOU 12-30-2004 09:05 PM

we did man its just people read the last three posts

DrFeelgood462 12-30-2004 09:37 PM

I don't know if its been said already but AC/DC own power chords in a way that NOBODY else can touch. Any guitarist wanting to use power chords must get Malcom's approval in writing before it can be done. It the LAW!!!

RoCKinG STANTON 12-30-2004 09:49 PM

Angus is Amazing live. he never stops moving and pulls some great solos out of his hat.
They put on a hell of a show and they are still rocking to this day. but alot of their songs are repetitive but still catchy.

Hear something new to talk about. Who do u think was better at singing and songwriting. bon scott or brian johnson?

JACKROXYOU 12-31-2004 03:18 PM

wow alot of new people in this thread

yea angus is electirc preformer, he has the most amazing moves live

AC/DC are the best band ever they have been goin for 31 years now releasing a new album soon (if any1 knows anythign bout it please tell me) and theres was some1 in a realy old post saying that back seat confidential sounds like beating around the bush and whole lotta rosie and dirty eyes sound the same well that becos back seat confidential is what beating around the bushwas meant to be but they changed the lyrics and a few other things and then recorded beating around the bush and its the same with whole lotta rosie and dirty eyes ive heard every song :p

thunderzstruck 12-31-2004 05:16 PM

Ok if anyone thinks ac/dc sucks go watch the movie Let There Be Rock!! Noone can play like Angus and do what he does onstage,

AB/CD 12-31-2004 06:49 PM

Ac/dc

BludgeonySteve 12-31-2004 06:58 PM

triva

heres a little triva to see if you really are a ac/dc fan, what does ac/dc stand for.

JACKROXYOU 12-31-2004 09:00 PM

you idiot we've settled this on about 8 pages of this thread

it is two charges found on the back of the Young families vacuum

Addicted2MyGuitar 12-31-2004 09:06 PM

AC/DC is a frickin' good kick *** band. Period. Angus's solos may be easy if you are sitting in a chair, but I don't know anyone who can even play the rhythm while jumping, running, writhing on the floor, etc. They have proved to be one of the most durable rock bands ever. As for repetetiveness, I would rather them than, say Aerosmith, who have good albums followed by crappy ones. They have a unique sound, a no nonsense, simple image, and a hard rocking stage show. For those who have rocked for 30 plus years, I salute you.......

JACKROXYOU 12-31-2004 09:08 PM

thanks for summing up the thread :thumb:
