I disagree. I think it's AJFA, MOP, Black, then RtL b/c the black album wasn't as heavy and it featured a lot more variety. Also it focused on creating a perfect harmony between the music and the vocals (which were a lot cleaner) and it created a far more melodic sound. RtL was just like an in your face metal experience(Don't get me wrong RtL is awesome hell it's my favorite from 'Tallica but it's not as melodic as the Black Album)
how many albums does metallica have..? do you guys not consider st anger an album? *prepares flame shield*

St. Anger kicks ***. They have 8 studio albums and are currently working on the 9th. 11 if you count Live ****, S&M and Garage Inc.

It may not be their best album, but that doesnt mean its ignored.

BLS_Infernus 02-24-2006 11:33 PM

It's repeative but it still kicks ***. My World is always on my play list. I'ld slap a few others on there in some other play lists (Invisible Kid, Unnamed Feeling, SKoM, Sweet Amber, Dirty Window, All Within My Hands, Frantic, anything but St. Anger)

Frantic is my favorite song off of St. Anger.

same.

the album kicks *** but cant be bothered cause its just to repeditive

Bazarov 02-25-2006 01:17 AM

Same here, that's my problem with that song, and I hate the lyrics. But yeah it's the only song I can really tolerate off that album.

Huber 02-25-2006 03:13 AM

I don't see how it is anymore repetitive than anything else Metallica has ever made. The songs aren't that similar at all.

Jev 02-25-2006 09:00 AM

The only thing about it is that the songs drag on for too long. Maybe that's what everyone means by repetitive.

BLS_Infernus 02-25-2006 10:12 AM

The songs are a lot more repeative then other Metallica songs it the fact that they are only 3 notes or something. The time length is about the same or shorter then other Metallica songs in the past so I don't know why everyone has to say "songs are to long"

I hate My World with a burning passion.

Just had to get that out.

DaveTheAmazing 2.0 02-25-2006 11:40 AM

My World kicks ***. The outro is just ****ing awseom

BLS_Infernus 02-25-2006 12:40 PM

Yeah, My World is probably the most repeative song on the album but I just like it for odd reasons. The part where Hetfield say "Not only do I not know the answer" the beat during that part just drives me insane.

I like My World, just hate the lyrics.

Hodgy1986 02-25-2006 12:58 PM

i love the ...and justice for all solo im trying to learn it can any one give any pointers on playing it especially the 17p14--17p14-----19p14-20p14-20p14
---------------17---------------------

Jev 02-25-2006 01:30 PM

Okay for the 17's use your third finger to pull off to the 14. Then, for the 19 and 20s use your pinky to pull off. If you find it too much of a stretch, tap the note.

Hodgy1986 02-25-2006 02:14 PM

i use my second finger for the 17 pull offs and 3 for the 19 pull off and pinky for the 20

Jev 02-25-2006 02:15 PM

Ah that works. My hands are pretty small.

Hodgy1986 02-25-2006 02:18 PM

Actually, I didn't quite understand it. What are you having trouble with, playing it to speed or getting the correct rhythm?

GenuineImitation 02-25-2006 02:29 PM

One post would have been sufficient.

Master_Of_Puppets 02-25-2006 04:35 PM

Im Just Wondering, how long has everyone been playing guitar here?

Clunge 02-25-2006 04:44 PM

Qucik question, when and where was S&M recorded?

PepsiMetal 02-25-2006 04:46 PM

BLS_Infernus 02-25-2006 04:56 PM

Live **** was recorded in Seattle and San Diego

GenuineImitation 02-25-2006 04:59 PM

BLS_Infernus 02-25-2006 05:23 PM

Aw3someman 02-25-2006 06:10 PM
4 years on guitar, 7 on bass, 8 on drums and piano
I'm assuming your really good at drums. I've only played drums for 2 years so i suck still. I heard it takes 4-6 years at something (depending how much you practice) to get good

BLS_Infernus 02-25-2006 06:12 PM

I'm not that great but I can play Metallica and Dave Grohl stuff. I'm working on my Dave Lombardo ;)

Guitar is probably have favorite to play and I probably the best at that. Paul Gilbert video lessons have helped me the most.
One is a classic though. Love or hate metallica. It's one of the best metal songs ever. IMO
I don't really like One so much.... :/
Yeah, My World is probably the most repeative song on the album but I just like it for odd reasons. The part where Hetfield say "Not only do I not know the answer" the beat during that part just drives me insane.

1999 In San francisco
It was in Berkely CA. Which is where CAL is.

I believe it was the Berkely Community Theater.

Apocalyptic Raids 02-26-2006 04:41 AM

I never really thought One was anything special.

The DVD disapointed me, after I'd listened to the CDs so much.

Edit: Is that the one that they drag on for 18 minutes? \m/
