Ah, it just seemed kind of random.

Festival Express > Woodstock
I really like Woodstock but I've never seen Festival Express so I can't disagree.

BludgeonySteve 03-11-2005 11:51 PM
Festival Express > Woodstock
That's a big statement right there.

Woodstock was more about the hippies than the music though. So it may be true.

Maybe music wise, but Woodstock represents a lot more.
Im starting up the new fourm poll its on the 100 Greatest Guitarists. Make sure you guys nominate. :)
Done. I might have to change a few though, cause I had to fill some spots becasue I couldn't think of 25.

Broken Arrow 03-12-2005 12:08 AM

I just downloaded that Dead show from The Fillmore East in '71 with Duane Allman. I can send it to people if they want but I'm putting this baby onto a cd.

BlackDeathMetalJazz or really ANYTHING else please- 03-12-2005 12:09 AM
Who's the guitarist for QMS?
John Cipollina

Badmoon 03-12-2005 12:12 AM

John Cipollina

I've heard that show, it's pretty good.

BlackDeathMetalJazz or really ANYTHING else please- 03-12-2005 12:13 AM

Neil Young and Eric Clapton are playing at the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame this year.

Will it be televised?

Can you change my Randy Bachman to Robert Johnson? I was going to put him and B.B. but then I thought it had to be R&M.

I'm supprised nobody else but me has put Muddy Waters in the top 25. I feel he has done quite a bit for rock don't you guys?

Badmoon 03-12-2005 12:35 AM

There are other who have done more. And just because he is influential is no reason to put him on.

pigonthewing82 03-12-2005 12:38 AM

That depends on your standereds for what makes a great guitar player. My top standered is exploring a new idea that influences generations to come. I think Waters certainly did that seeing how there is NO rock band that cannot trace their influence back to him.

MalcolmYoungRock 03-12-2005 10:26 AM

I wanna see the rock and roll hall of fame, it's next saturday isn't it?

Yeah, he was influential but there are better guitarists than him.

Jam2Me 03-12-2005 10:46 AM

The place or the ceremony?

The place if ****ing awesome, I recommend anyone to go there.

Badmoon 03-12-2005 11:17 AM

I recommend you go to the Rock 'n' Roll vault in Orlando, Florida. Much more interesting than the Rock 'n' Roll Hall of Fame.

RNR HOF do have a couple of Garcia's spare guitars, or replicas of his Tiger, and Wolf. Which I thought was pretty cool.

jpj 03-12-2005 11:17 AM

I was at the Rock abd Roll Hall of Fame. I was little, so all I remember was a giant Wall cover hanging from the ceiling and a wax model of slash.

Joe 03-12-2005 11:23 AM

I wanna go to the rock n roll hall of fame. it sounds like a fun place

but i have been to Orlando's Hard Rock Cafe. That place has everything, its really cool

A bunch of versions come up.
Thanks, but only one of them was available for download. :upset:

EOTW is my favorite Dead song ATM. :)

At Hard Rock Cafe in Nevada, they have one of garcia's guitars signed by the grateful dead.

magicbus 03-12-2005 12:43 PM

Anybody familiar with The Eleventh House or Return to Forever? My dad pulled out a few cds for me to check out and I'm ripping them now.

I heard they have Keith Richards stuffed up on display there.

Walrus Gumboot 03-12-2005 01:08 PM

Is the RNR HOF worth driving 10 hours for?
